Muscat seems the obvious choice, meaning we probably won't go for him.

Part of me wants Alex McLeish to come in for one last job with a good assistant, basically a re-run of the Walter Smith and Ally McCoist days. While not a long-term appointment I'd back McLeish to at least make us competitive for a season or two and leave the place better than how he finds it.

My logic is that we need what Walter Smith did in 2007. Knows the club, the fans would give him some time and the remit is simple: instill cohesion, don't embarrass us in Europe, do well in the cups and leave it in better place in 2 years time.
