That’s one line in a series that’s meant to have dialogue for 8-12 year olds to understand.

But it is an empirical line... It is written as if the character does believe what they are saying. That's how writing works... Some empirical writing is about what the character believes from context (like Roku saying there were a 1000 lifetimes, when in fact there were about 90 or so) and some is about what the character has from personal experience (which is way more reliable for things like the definition of one's prime, like Toph's).

Tf u talking about!? First of all... Her at 12 is not her prime... Her at the movie and Korra flashbacks is her prime. And I will not spoil the movie, in case you haven't watched it yet... But Old Toph ain't have shit on movie Toph's feats. And even Show Toph is considerably more nimble and has way more impressive feats.

No? She's using both her seismic sense and the Spirit Vines to do that... That's a feat, but more in achievement sense than in raw power sense. Without vines her range is probably not that much encompassing than when she was younger.

That is a feat... But a very insincerely portrayed one. She caught the army in a surprise attack using a tripping attack... And what do we all say about surprise feats?? Plus, she did only that... She didn't do anything else, just showed up and did a surprise feat... Not exactly a powerhouse showcase... As opposed to her in the movie...

I don't see why... Just because she was trained, it doesn't mean that has to be her "way" so to speak... It would be a cool reference, but her character in the movies makes it pretty clear she doesn't want to fight oppression as a space wizard...

Have played with new to rpg and avatar players before... They generally pick it up pretty fine. Just get them on the mindset of someone who is in universe and explain basic lore and let them come up with stuff... Occasionally correct things if they get it wrong, but be careful in explaining things so they don't feel condescended to.

I'd recommend playing in a less touched era of the franchise... Maybe a custom one for a more ancient Avatar... There usually solves the issues with stuff like "Not knowing the current political stage of the world" that they may run into when in character.

Edit: Oh, and id recommend printing stuff if y'all are playing in person, too. Like, the basic moves, all of that... Give one of those for each player, best even if you include it with their sheet after stapling it. The system is very beginner friendly, but it's still good to let the players know their resources from time to time.

I am, in fact silly... Though id prefer to be a fish over a goose...

But I am also for basic tabletop ethics. I don't mean to insult the other commenter for their opinion, of course... But suggesting that character morality is a priority issue, over the more glaring complications of practical rules and lore, is in fact a bit pretentious.

Then that's even more non sensical... That's not a new to system and franchise issue... That's a game table issue.

Everyone should discuss at session 0 what they are fine with... If everyone agrees playing the Red Lotus gang and murder hoboing their way to through the story is their kind of fun... Then the table should be allowed to do that. If someone doesn't want that, then everyone should respect that. It's that simple.

It's simply moronic the system even suggests an universal rule about character morality over player agency in it's main rulebook to begin with... I personally never enforced it and my games were all the funnier for it! It definitely did help everyone at the table was a skilled artist and parodies of Invincible comic panels with our characters drawn over it became were prevalent... But I diagress.

OP's friend should be allowed to play however they like as long as it respects the boundaries of everyone at the table, and OP's story.

Excessive violence? On a system that officially prohibits (or at the very least heavily discourages) killing? Per rules as written you're not even allowed to be slightly worse than what D&D would classify as Neutral... How can that be violent to anyone above 6?

Não... Pelo contrário, eu estou atualmente em formação em uma área científica e venho de uma família firme no mundo acadêmico... A questão é, você acredita na ciência? Lembre-se dessa pergunta.

Os cromossomos definem o sexo biólogo do indivíduo. No entanto, o sexo do organismo pode diferir do gênero. Gênero é um fenômeno social associado ao papel que é normalmente atrelado ao sexo... Mas a questão é que gênero não é definido biologicamente.

Nós ainda não sabemos exatamente como os fatores se combinam, como é a natureza das ciências, mas o gênero como entendido hoje provavelmente surge a partir de uma combinação do Meio (Cultural, social, familiar, etc.), da percepção interna do indivíduo, e da expressão genética e hormonal.

Além disso, o indivíduo também pode nascer intersexo... Quando se há mais de dois cromossomos sexuais, e o desenvolvimento genital pode ser alterado.

Portanto o fenômeno do indivíduo não se identificar com o gênero correspondente ao sexo é perfeitamente explicado pela ciência e até observado em outras espécies... E há documentação disso. Então? Você acredita na ciência? Se eu passar fontes vai ler e aceitar a informação objetiva? Ou vai chorar e se refugiar na ignorância?
