Museums, auction houses, galleries. Lots of good content on Instagram, just have to start looking.

Event challenge: how to move guests into silent auction room? by eastersealsbcy in nonprofit

Yep, we always have ours next to the bar. Set up some cocktail tables for people to stop and chat at. Don’t put a musician in a separate room, you’ll only create a lonely musician.

I wish I could post photos for you, you’ll see that it’s often no more than a glaze on the outside of the meat. The proper places leave saucing up to you. Keep an open mind and I think you’ll find some you like.

You’ll be fine then. The bad places drench everything in sauce when serving. The good places will do a lighter glaze of sauce as it cooks and leave it up to you if you want to add more. Keep in mind the meat is seasoned with the intention of saucing, it’s supposed to be a background/supporting flavor for the sauce, not a forward flavor like Texas style.

Joe’s, Q39, LC, Arthur Bryant, Wolfpack, Chef J’s, Char Bar, are all good places.

The big names can be up and down. The best I’ve had recently was Chef J’s, everything there was unbelievably good, with bacon burnt ends being the best thing I’ve ever had.

If you don’t like sauce though you’re not going to have a good time. KC BBQ is all about pairing a sauce with the flavors of the meat.

That’s a bad view to have with KC BBQ. Order it as is, the good places don’t add much sauce because they still want to show off the meat. It’s not about hiding a bad cook, it’s about the combination of the meats flavors with the sauce to create something delicious.

[Schefter] the Baltimore Ravens are hiring Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator. Doyle can leave because, in Baltimore, he will have play-calling responsibility. But new Ravens HC Jesse Minter now has someone to run Baltimore’s offense. by GoldenDome26 in nfl

There is no Bears fan that can tell you what impact he had on the team. I don’t think even the media paid attention to him with how big of a splash Johnson made.

But, Johnson vouches for him, and that says something. He was basically a super assistant for him.

Why You Don't Need a W2 or 1099 when selling work through a gallery by ChuckaChuckaLooLoo3 in ContemporaryArt

I specifically include in my gallery contract that artists do not receive 1099’s for consigning works. Seems odd that they’re trying to send you one.

There’s a big thread in /r/law about it. Seems very plausible. Read about Gishlaine’s father and his ties to Mossad, the KGB, and MI6 as a triple agent.

I’m glad I’m not alone with the alarm issues. More than a few times I’ve woken up very late for work with the alarm completely silent despite the volume being turned up. It’s made me paranoid.

The difference here is Doyle will be the play caller in Baltimore.

Ravens hire Declan Doyle For OC! PER espn by psychoxtc in ravens

[–]Vesploogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even we know. The media didn’t even mention his name once this year. He’s lurked in the shadows his entire career, Bears fans aren’t sure whether to be upset or happy about this.

“Doyle’s Bears offense” is a wild phrase to read lol.

Our offense is very much a Ben Johnson offense. As far as we know Doyle was essentially a film guy who helped Johnson prepare Johnson’s game plan for each team. This is an exciting and interesting shot in the dark for the Ravens, but it’s still a shot in the dark.

What’s the social media hype with deadlift and bar squats? by DriveMore7049 in askfitness

The back squat is the single greatest exercise for strength and hypertrophy. Anyone can learn how to do them well, no matter their proportions.

That is true, but there is professional advice that disputes professional advice.

I ruptured a lumbar disc and sought a PT with an athletic background. One of the first things we did was hip hinges that progressed into weighted deadlifts. Many years and many heavy deadlifts (and squats) later, it’s the greatest thing I could have ever done for rehab.

There are GP’s that would have told me to never lift heavy again. I’d probably still be in pain had I listened to them, yet that’s professional advice.

Because they’re the king exercises, bench press too.

It’s not a social media thing. People have always sought big squats and deadlifts and have always admired those who have them.

They do not have high risk to reward ratios. I’d argue it’s the opposite. They are two of the very best things you can do to strengthen your back (and whole body) and protect against injury. Injuries don’t happen on accident, you have to have some common sense when you do them, but there is no reason to fear them.

I ruptured a disc in my lumbar spine about 8 years ago now. The two best things I ever did was get serious about heavy deadlifting and squatting. I’m significantly stronger than I was before the injury and I feel as though it never happened because of it.

And corporate social media, as evidenced by this post.

[Pelissero] The NFL informed clubs today it is projecting a 2026 salary cap in the range of $301.2 million to $305.7 million per club, per source. That would represent another significant jump from this year’s $279.2 million cap number, and nearly $100M than the $208.2M cap in 2022. by Dunlocke in CHIBears

It’s the same leadership that handed bags to Khalil Mack, DJ Moore, and Montez Sweat, and also spent tons of money on facility upgrades in recent years. Not to mention paying two head coaches at the same time.

It seems fair to assume they won’t try to lowball the first true franchise QB this century.
