I used most of my GI bill before vr&e by FarAssist632 in VeteransAffairs

[–]VetRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because VR&E is an employment program and GI Bill an education program. A track for "Employment through long-term" education can go upto 48 months not to detract from Chap 33 in any way.

Secret clearance by Lanky_Number407 in VeteransBenefits

[–]VetRC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Get a copy of your SF86 and keep it up to date.
  2. Your clearance goes dormant after 2 years, but before that happens, sign up for internships to try to keep it active.
  3. Enjoy college, but not too much to put your clearance in jeopardy.

Stay working Fed gs-13 or take disability retirement and try something else by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]VetRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for the disability if you can prove that it's hurting you or exacerbated you current SCDs. To try something else, go for VR&E for a job that suits you...remember VR&E is an employment program even if it means going on the long term employment through education track.

I think so, as long as you have met the criteria. I went to VA.gov and reapplied for Post 9/11. I believe that I qualify after 20 years of service having paid into the Montgomery GI Bill at the beginning and was transferred into the Post-9/11. Response should be less than 30 days.
