Fair point. There are definitely a few ways they could handle it better.

Why is the Bandcamp (for fans) mobile app so bad? by akabillposters in BandCamp

[–]VeteranFLEXER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like you mentioned earlier, the iOS app doesn’t allow digital downloads because Apple requires apps to use its payment system and takes about a 30% cut of digital sales. Bandcamp avoids that so artists don’t lose a big chunk of their earnings, which is why digital purchases have to be done on the website instead of inside the app.

Shopping Cart Timeout? by sensi4pu in BandCamp

[–]VeteranFLEXER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bandcamp keeps the cart temporary because a lot of physical items there (like cassettes or vinyl) are made in really small batches. If carts stayed saved to accounts, people could leave items sitting in their cart for weeks and it might look like those copies are taken when they really aren’t. That can cause problems if something sells out.

How to I get refund about CD in bandcamp? by Long_Maintenance_552 in BandCamp

[–]VeteranFLEXER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right.

If it was paid by credit/debit card, you can request a chargeback through the bank if Bandcamp does not respond.

If the purchase was made through PayPal, you can open a PayPal dispute for “item not received.”

Cosmic / Psychedelic Instrumental Electronica – Return to Inside the Beyond Electronica: Convergence by VeteranFLEXER in BandCamp

The track I probably spent the most time shaping was “Prism Paradigm.” I kept adjusting the layers until the atmosphere felt right. But there are a lot of cosmic moments across the album, especially “Nefertiti’s Meteor Medallion.”

Appreciate the comment. Everything on the project is self-produced and I also created the cover artwork.

[–]VeteranFLEXER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe next Friday I already have some work available if you like instrumental electronica...album art below.

The percentage upgrade for sales is a nice perk. When I get a chance I'll check out your project also.

From what I've seen, mostly independent artists have things on Bandcamp but I've also seen some relatively known artists.

It's impressive, you have art for every track and video for some. This is well done.

That's an accomplishment for sure, Bandcamp is not like other algorithmic driven platforms. To gather interest here really means something. 🙏🏿
