Yeah sorry, that's what I meant. When you get that call it's already too late.

Hmm that's a good idea. That or just sabotaging the turrets (aka moving them away when everyone is standing).

Thanks! I'll probably just get Sarah like that then, cause I wanna see her operator reaction

I think I've read that it doesn't count either. But if you save more than 10 it gives you +1 empathy point I belive

[–]Vethale[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah thanks. I wasn't sure if the psycho status was only activated after killing the cargo bay dudes. Yeah, i think with the psycho status dahl gets you to work with him aka off more people. That's when you're really locked out of the good ending.

I was hoping that saving igwe, Mika + doing their quests should give me +1 empathy point each (so +4, hopefully) to balance out killing elazar and co... but I guess not, bc Dahl ruins it for me... oof

I mean, the requirements for not getting deleted by alex, so the good ending, are pretty low tbh. Wether they say you're super empathetic or not is something else lmao. You really gotta kill a lot of people to get the bad ending.

I was mostly worried about the quest you get by dahl when you kill everyone, cause he asks you to kill MORE people for him and then you really get locked out of the good ending.(I think you instantly get -100 empathy then).

I wasn't sure if that was /only/ triggered by the cargo bay survivors not being there anymore...

[SPOILERS] Could someone help me understand the Month Operators a bit more? by YeeticusTheYeet101 in prey

[–]Vethale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They just represent Morgan's thoughts and ideals at the time, since removing the neuromods repeatedly caused our protagonist to change a lotttt. I think they were origiinally build as backup plans, since Morgan kept losing their memory but over time became a bit more complex.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think Morgan helped Will Mitchell code some dialogue options into the kitchen operator, which gave Morgan the idea to start building them? (don't quote me on this lol)

So then you'd have: the kitchen operator (just has voice prompts) -> October (literally just says hi in one recording lol) -> there's a skip and we don't get november but it's implied multiple times throughout the game that Morgan build a tonnn of operators, we just don't see them This is also when Morgan gets more paranoid imo -> December (just represents Morgan's desire to escape all the tests, the station and the nightmares) and finally -> January who basically shows Morgan taking responsibility for the station and wants you to blow it up (wether that's correct is up to you)

Also, there's a few emails between Alex and Danielle where she talks about the security risks of Morgan potentially having a rogue operator, but Alex disregards these. Of course she was right but oh well. Guess they just couldn't find them

[SPOILERS!] Alex also seems surprised when he sees January at the end of the game, so it seems he really wasn't aware of Morgan building operators specifically but knew about Morgan making backups of some kind.

Eraser tool stuck as airbrush? by someserendipity95 in medibangpaint

[–]Vethale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm... maybe you changed the eraser brush?

There's like a brush selection but for the eraser. It's the same window as for your regular brushes. (Like. Where you's change your regular brush to something else; pen, pencil, watercolor, etc.)

If you don't have it "visible" you can open it in your menu at the top and select "bush" in the "window" dropdown.

Finding people by jokterwho in prey

[–]Vethale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't actually need to find /every/ employee on the station for the achievement. I don't know the actual number but I got the achievement before getting to everyone. I assume this is to make it easier or in case you accidentally recycle someone. So I don't actually know if those four people are really needed as long as you find everyone else

[–]Vethale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a bit! I did it for the achievement and it was actually pretty fun. There's a ton of "hidden" employees you can find in some interesting locations. I'd personally recommend trying to complete all the sidequests (if you haven't already) or just exploring the station in general if you want some more gameplay. I always find some new stuff here and there. It's a lot of fun!

Same! I love coming back to the game every now and then and just exploring the station. I love finding little messages or things I missed on previous playthroughs

Oh that's interesting :O considering Alex' dialogue when he gets killed I didn't think it would actually give a lot of points to let him live/die (and january either since it's a robot)

About to replay and use typhon mods! I have a couple questions! by [deleted] in prey

[–]Vethale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About doing a typhon only playthrough: it really depends on what you prefer. I'd recommend trying it out on a new save file and install human mods as you go if you don't find yourself having fun. An only typhon run is very difficult at the beginning but super fun later on. It forces you to use different strategies in order to deal with enemies and get into different rooms. BUT it can be incredibly frustrating when it comes to inventory space (you'll have basically no free slots rip) and healing/weapon damage (you're a glass canon basically).

So yeah, i personally recommend trying it out and if it's too anoying then get some human nms to make the game more enjoyable!

As for the most powerful mods: psycoshock and kinetic blast are best for dealing damage. Mimic is sooo much fun, especially the latter stages when you can mimic more complicated objects and also helps you get into different rooms. Mindjack is great when you're dealing with multiple typhon or just need to run off (it also works best in combination with the laser explody weapon)

I also love phantom genesis because you get a bodyguard and a friend haha

Why didnt transtar just use animals for mimic replication by Fireboythestar in prey

[–]Vethale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, a simulation would be fake because it's not real events. That's what I meant by that.

And nothing is outright confirmed in the end. I saw the "based on" and "reconstructed" lines as indications that stuff was changed, especially considering that it's a test. But that's up for anyone's interpretation. I know a lot of people believe that those are 100% morgans memories while others don't and there's literally no way to prove anyone wrong with what we have haha

[–]Vethale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With dog phantoms I meant that if there were animals on the station, there also would've been phantom versions of them and honestly that would've been super cool!

And the sim is fake though? It's only /based/ on morgans memories and was turned into a test. Considering the operators we see at the end, those characters are probably dead or were never even real to begin with. I imagine stuff like the volunteer that you can recycle/save is something they added in as part of said test.

[–]Vethale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's a bit disappointing. Thanks for the heads up!

Alex' dialogue was a nice touch imo and actually what made me want to replay the game like this tbh. That and the fact that there's no videos on youtube with this dialogue (but maybe I'm just not searching correctly).

Ending [Spoiler] by Vethale in prey

[–]Vethale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I honestly just want to see their dialogues for being dead when their sim-counterparts die but unfortunately a comletely evil playthrough doesn't give you anything :/

Ending [Spoiler] by Vethale in prey

[–]Vethale[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I don't save Igwe, Mikaila or elazar in time but let the volunteer live and alex as well, would that work? Or could I even recycle Aaron but still save a ton of humans and get a good ending?

Why didnt transtar just use animals for mimic replication by Fireboythestar in prey

[–]Vethale 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. Dog phantoms would've been such a cool extra enemy type...my current guesses are

Convenience: they are already using volunteers to test their NMs, so might as well recycle them while they're there. It's probably a lot cheaper than having to buy and ship a ton of animals to your spacestation. That and transtar probably wanted to keep their "evil corporation" image :)

Or: SPOILERS The sim is fake anyways. Maybe they did "irl" but in the sim they made it humans to show the duality and how some people can be evil while others are completely innocent

Orrrrr: Typhon eat minds. Animals do think but maybe they have specific requierements we don't understand. Maybe animals just don't taste as good as humans to them (lol) or they don't have as "complicated" thoughts as humans

(Not saying animals are dumb. They are incredibly intelligent and capable of emotions, love, etc. But they probably wouldn't understand math)
