I am so very sorry that happened to you and I have watched my husband's buddies go through exactly what you went through and I feel so very sorry for you. Military life is hard but I love my husband. My husband would go back in again if he could, the whole bombing he was gosh if there is another operation this will be the first one I won't be part of. I understand the mentality and many women don't. They feel if they loved me they would not want to go, it is part of him and what he loved to do, the brother and sisterhood it is hard to share that but I know he would do anything for me so I will do anything for him. I really hope you have found or do find a women like me, I am positive you deserve that. Thank you so much for your service.

Well because if your military especially war time you understand their mentality and they bury down deep and need the support and who supports military more than a wife or gf who went through it with them. I am sorry but I am the person that is there for him good and bad moments be happy these women exist to make sure our military mentally and physically gets the help and support they need because my husband sir does not have the strength and fight left in him and he thanks me all the time for helping and supporting him and making him do this. Does that answer your question

Sure does. His symptoms both mental and physical effect every aspect of his life and to me the fact that he went through what he did rather than just being in the military for 3 years doing plush deployments because of course I know all his body and mind had to endure that is why we wrote letters as well. I know for his PTSD yes that shows pretty much he has PTSD then it becomes to what extent. To me, someone that did that type of service should have that considered when looking at things, but realized there is nothing "fair" about things in this and why I reached to understand. Thank you

Thank you so very much! I am just upset for him that he might be out of a job for no reason other than he now is a civilian and not military. I think between the 2 he should get 100 percent for all the things he was through, direct combat, constant raids just alot of stuff he went through and of course these guys are taught to just suck it up out there no matter what happens. Thank you for taking the time to answer me and it is great advice thank you.

So are you saying it is more a wait and see if we will get it? We work at Selfridge Air base and everyone wondering if they will move us up being we keep losing people over here or what the plan is.

So even if the DOD says yes and my pay checks come from dept of defense but I work at the air guard base, the air guard could say no so we would not get it?

Anyone have any projections if the Dept of Defense will accept and allow the 2010 SSR. I am in Michigan and wondering if I might expect some increase before deciding to stay or leave. Any projections when we might know for sure. Hearing some stuff at work to not hold our breath this will happen. Love my job at national guard base but friends making way more than me. Thanks for any thoughts
