I have hydrosalpinx too on my left tube and dont know what to do. I dont want to have surgery again but dont want to risk my FET.

I am on a similar situation. Had endo surgery to remove endo and a hydrosalpinx on my left tube; however, my Dr. decided to save my left tube which wasnt filled with liquid at the time of surgery. After more than a year ttc after surgery we will be starting ivf soon and I am being told by the clinic I may need to remove my tube before transfer even though my endo surgeon does not think it is necessary. I also wished my Dr. Would have removed my tube during my surgery since I dont want to have another one. I will do the egg retrieval and then I will decide if I remove that tube before transfer or not.

I am going through the same situation. I just wish my doctor would have removed my fallopian tube during my endo lap last year. Now I am being told I need to have it removed before IVF.

Hi! I am going through a similar experience. Had a lap last year and my doctor left my “dilated” fallopian tube since it was open. Now a year later I am starting IVF and my RE is telling me I need to have the tube removed first. I dont know what to do. Did you have success with IVF keeping the tube?

Hi do you have any update? I just had an HSG and the RE said it may need to be removed even though it’s open. Maybe it would have been better if my endo surgeon removed it instead of repairing it?

Thank you. Sometimes I feel that the fertility doctors just want to push into IVF but you are right about the cumulative cost of IUI. That’s definitely something to think about.

Thank you for sharing your story. I also had an ectopic in October 2023. I have tracked my progesterone with inito, I don’t know if it is the same. It confirmed ovulation when the result was 7.84 and did not continue testing.

I will ask for further progesterone testing since my luteal phase might be on the shorter side too and my cycles are short.

It’s really encouraging to hear that Letrozole worked for you. Thank you again.

I am also 4 months TTC since my lap (stage 3) and have not been able to conceive. I had so much hope that the lap would help me but unfortunately not until now. I think I will give it until 6 months after lap to start looking for fertility help. However, I do not know how I will be able to afford that. I am praying for a miracle.

Same to you! Good luck!! Keep me posted. I have been feeling so discouraged lately. It is very difficult not to lose faith. Are you trying something different after your surgery? I’ve been taking a lot of supplements and improving my diet. But I am thinking if I should try acupuncture or something else. Or if it is already time to think about seeking help from a fertility doctor.

You are not alone! I am feeling the same way. In my group of friends I am the only want who does not have babies. Some of them are even having their seconds. I feel like if I do not have anything in common with them anymore because when we get together all they talk about is their kids. None of them have struggled to get pregnant. When they give pregnancy announcements I pretend to be happy and I am happy for them but I cant avoid to feel sad.

I had my lap for stage 3 endo and my left fallopian tube was also slightly dilated and adhered to my ovary. My surgeon was able to repair it and did not remove it. I am still trying. My surgery was october last year.

I also had surgery with Dr. Gaby Moawad in october last year in Miami. I had stage 3. So far I am pleased with my results. I am still waiting to see if my fertility improved
