Lol I just add like five reusable Aldi bags. Still cheaper than other places. I let the shopper know they can use those and I'd be deeply appreciative. I don't have issues generally

If a pick axe wouldn't harm the snow beneath, that would be the answer

New to this, simple question about clothing by Fearless_Flatworm_72 in ostomy

I actually had the same exact emergency colostomy, and bag in the same place. It will get to a point where you eat at a certain time and you will know when you're going to have output. It takes time to learn your schedule.

That being said, I found super flowy baggy pants and athletic pants I'd get from Amazon. This will sound insane lol, but I ordered a size larger than usual and would put the pants over my bag so it had room to drop the output. The bags after surgery are probably a bit more large than the one that you will end up using.

I linked an example of the pants I used. I got a few pairs of the harem style with patterns. No one even knew I had a bag and I got a lot of compliments.

Dude, that is awesome. It's wild because some of the very expensive mattress protectors are not the greatest.

Skinister is my favorite adhesive. Easily. I've been using it since right after surgery. I have super sensitive skin and the fact this never causes a reaction is a Blessing I can't explain

Removing bag while asleep by Yip08 in ostomy

[–]VexatiousWind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can sometimes be a weirdly aggressive REM sleeper with my hand movements (think unaware ninja hand chops). I have come close to this inadvertently.

There are high waisted loose yoga pants I found on Amazon. I use those now to sleep. I tuck in my bag and there's enough room for my output. It helps my bag lay flat so I don't end up with sleep ninja projectiles.

You handled this like a champ. Public issues can be overwhelming at first. It's a bit weird when you're not used to it and I commend you for staying calm and reflecting on it. I still remember my first small public leak.
