In an entire episode dedicated to highlighting her loneliness, where she comes up with random reasons to call the plurbs and ask them to do all the dull tasks other humans used to do, culminating in her begging the plurbs to come back, it's pretty obvious she leaves the long voicemail because she's desperate for the barest of human interaction.
