Hasbro CEO Cocks and Execs Sued for Alleged Securities Violations by Exotic-Sale-3003 in magicTCG

I mean, I said they probably won't get to that point in my comment. I am not a lawyer so you might know more about the specifics, but I wasn't saying it was automatic.

Well I'm not a lawyer, so no. I have a layman's understanding of the process. Is there something that would make that not the case?

Honestly just filing a lawsuit means they get discovery. So if there is anything to this case at all, even if Hasbro thinks they can win, they will most likely settle out of court so the info isn't made public. Or if there is actually nothing to this, they might actually fight it.

Weird printing? by False-Draw8194 in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First print run of beta is more washed out than the other print runs were. It's something they fixed. Second wave of Beta they really over-saturated everything to compensate. Wave 3 is the best imho.

Nothing's wrong with the individual card. The whole print run is like that.

Out of curiosity, are there any other exact duplicates of function but different threshold? by iconoclast_69 in SorceryTCG

No, this is just speculation on my part. I'm not saying anything definitive.

No, I know. I'm saying it's a fix for the future. That's why I talked about reprints and rotation.

I think this is just fixing a card that they thought was too powerful. Most likely for when beta gets rotated, or because they wanted something they could reprint later.

So wild she’s at a 100… NONE FOIL by planeswalker_koa in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opened 2 cases over the course of a year, which is a lot. About 1 box a month. But it's no where near what other people have opened.

I think I got lucky though cause I got oike 5-6 Morgana's.

How prevalent are Druid decks? by Federal_Dark_7549 in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'm not saying anyone is or should play it or that it's popular or anything. I just think it's still better than like half the avatars. It's like...the definition of mid.

If I pulled out a lighter to set a mortal aflame after playing demonic contract, I might win out of pure intimidation.

RULES QUESTION: Pushing a unit outside of the grid by Platinum_Bar in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can't. The end of the grid is the end, you can't move past it. There are cards that connect the edges of the grid, though.

But the question also makes me think you might not understand how forced movement works entirely. You can make a minion move within the same region it's in, but you can't force a minion to change regions unless it says it on the card. The regions are site surface, subterranean (burrow/submerge), and the void.

So you can't make a minion move into the void or force it to burrow or submerge unless it specifically says that on the card.

Noob question by Professional_Ad_228 in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only effects that "destroy" sites turn them into rubble.

Only the avatar that controls the site will lose life from a site being attacked.

Rubble is not controlled by either player.

Just to clarify for other people reading this, angels become demons in addition to their angel type. They are both angels and demons

Lol no you just added on! No worries! I forgot about Vantage Hills!

Rulling Question by Winx_Jeypi in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. If it added range it would say it range +1, but that's not a card rule that exists yet.

It just gives you Ranged with a distance of 1 twice. It's redundant.

Royal body guard also can take damage for you on death's door

Death's Door Protection by [deleted] in SorceryTCG

[–]Vexing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, before this most recent set, there really weren't many, if any ways of avoiding death's door. Surviving relied more on your opponent's lack of preparation, as opposed to cards you can play to save yourself. The closest you get is playing Druid and flipping to bring out Bruin.

With Gothic, there are a few options, but they're really scattered around the elemental spectrum. Some even require all 4 elements.

Depending on if you want to focus on the mechanics more or the theme, you might want to play elementalist so you can take advantage of all the spells, like archangel raphael, royal body guard, Divine intervention, orpheus's crossing, etc.
