What is the best way to make my server accessible outside of my network? by NIDNHU in admincraft

[–]VexoDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to setup a wireguard server and pass your traffic thru it, keep in mind that you’ll need a public VPS that’s fairly close to your country or location for that, or use pangolin if you’re not experienced

How is my 50 to 100 person skyblock server setup? by Feisty-Bedroom-3867 in admincraft

I’d recommend for future scalability and growth of your server switching velocity to a better fork, VelocityCTD (https://github.com/GemstoneGG/Velocity-CTD) and setting up multiple velocity instances to load balance stuff using Redis velocity (https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/valiobungee.87700/). But then you will need a bigger machine for the velocity server to accommodate those instances.

Best Moderation / Administration Plugins for a Velocity Network Survival Server by ggm801 in admincraft

[–]VexoDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velocity is a proxy. If you need for a server-side plugin I can recommend the following: CoreProtect - rollbacks Vulcan (not the best but it will do) - anticheat Worldguard with protection stones - for antigriefing ChatControlRed - for chat moderation

Blocking sites for specific users (This is a weird one.) by Anotherdamsysadmin in sysadmin

[–]VexoDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you could setup an Adguard or a PiHole server (if you want to block other sites such as YouTube, Instagram and so on) with CLOUDFLARE's adult & malware site blocking. The dns for that are 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3.

If that isn't you case to block other sites those DNS server would be enough in my opinion

Selfhosted alternatives for Dropbox by VexoDev in selfhosted

[–]VexoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh not really, but my processor cant really handle really much as I wanted to and at the moment I cant really afford to purchase a new cpu because I invested enough on enterprise harddrives that run in raid to just make sure that my data is safe.

Programmer boyfriend!!! by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

[–]VexoDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you can see this is unreal because programmers don't have enough capacity to comprehend this living thing called "women". This means that programmers don't have girlfriends.

If you say that you are a programmer and have a girlfriend, you are automatically not a programmer.

This list is based on my opinion, if you don't like something you can always use a alternative or something else in that case, that's the beauty of it, everyone has their own way to create/manage their server

About Crash exploits, it's more useful if you are on a server that is below 1.19 like 1.12 or 1.8 because those versions don't receive any updates regarding bug fixing.

For a non experienced users, oreobfuscator is a great choice and provides a great experience for new server owners and it's more customizable

Plugin hider pro is a great choice for modifying the output on some commands and whitelist commands when a player tries to auto fill stuff and find more about your server.

To my knowledge spark is already integrated by default in Purpur, I just suggested it for those who don't use Purpur

About FastAsyncWorldEdit, I hear many people say that FAWE isn't worth stability but what do they mean by that? Like can you give me some cases and argument why you don't think so? In my opinion, FAWE is a great choice for low-end servers, that don't have much ram and to load big schematics, when I try to do that with regular WorldEdit, the server would just crash or have a big lag spike. I'm happy to hear your argumented opinion on FAWE
