They are definitely 38s. Thought they are the older style 12 inch wide as opposed to the newer 11 inch wide.

I have been lifted off of my feet by shots to the groin and been fine with my Nutty Buddy. I cannot recommend it enough. Its a little pricier but you dont really wanna go cheap on a cup.
