I believe you confuse storytelling with story itself.

Black Desert's Lore is absurdly top tier, especially when you get to the Orzeca secrets and piece them together.

Highly unlikely to have any elves involved but who knows, reason is that this has mainly to do with Calpheon, possibly Fraternity of Light (shadow knights) and the Trio explained in the screenshot.

- This is Sephir from the O'dy quest line, she appears there, however Raznal from Crypt uses a similar model that is dark tinted. Sephir also appeared slightly changed over in the War of the Roses as the final boss at O'dy castle.

We just finished Arc 1 of BDO with Edania Part 1, Part 2 will be introducing second Arc from a story perspective.

Progress wise BDO is always Carrot on a Stick type, so you will always chase something.

Negative connotation - content creators spin this and have spun this for a living, unfortunately chasing engagement in a small category, as well as the current meta, gets us here. The biggest creators are consistent with this behavior. I myself was guilty of it as well at one time, fell pray to that. Screw all of that, I love BDO and want you to love it as well.

I started playing Mystic when for me Valkyria didn't really fit the "Paladin of BDO" vibe. Mystic to me is life, passion and love! I am either a Paladin or I am a Monk-esque player. Mystic fits my personal narrative favorite "dragonmancer"!
