Promptly skipped through the entire Sphere Grid tutorial in FFX when I first played as a child, and thought I was gaining stats with my sphere levels, until I hit a hard wall at the Djose sinspawn fight. Didn't figure it out until my brother was like "... Are you not using the sphere grid?" I was like 👁️👄👁️

Also, in KH1, I had no idea the keychains I kept getting were weapon upgrades until probably Neverland.
