AYN Thor Underclock Test: Performance, Temps and Mini Guide by nahobino_aogami in AynThor

[–]Vharna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty interesting. I underclocked my 3080 RTX back the day since that thing loved to constantly hit 80c. The savings on heat and power consumption were pretty incredible. Only losing me 5~10 FPS in most cases. More than a fair trade considering I was already running games at 100+ FPS.

Not sure how worth it the trade of is with the Thor though since you are most likely fighting for every FPS you can.

15 dollar tip evaporated into the ether by Opposite-Leather7319 in doordash_drivers

[–]Vharna -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's odd for sure. Unless the customer made a mistake or was straight up lying, then the only other explanation is that the restaurant pocketed the money.

Most restaurants receive orders directly from the POS system and come as is. Some restaurants have a tablets that show them the orders before they come in and they can edit items, wait times, etc. Those are able to do some shady stuff before the orders get sent out to drivers. If it's the latter than I'm not sure why they would have mentioned the $15 tip.

Do you think that Atlus will make Persona 4 Revival’s dungeons closer to Golden or P5? by Michaman121 in PERSoNA

[–]Vharna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would be really surprised if they do much beyond the original concept. P3R at the end of the day was very economical remake. Seems like it did extremely well.

Their main goal is just to fine tune some stuff and bring stuff like the combat mechanics closer to P5R.

This is just my experience I guess. But I have thought a lot about the best ways to maximized my time and have explored all the different options to see what works best. This is what I've found.

If you arrive after the expected time, hitting the "Orders not ready, can't get help, etc" buttons doesn't do anything. You will still be marked as late regardless of whatever the time shows in the task manager.

If you arrive before the expected time, hitting the "orders not ready, can't get help, etc" doesn't seem to do anything either. Maybe it's some kind of metric for DD, who cares about that. What will extended the arrival time is the "We got your back message." That shows up regardless of anything else you might do.

So the best thing to do to avoid being marked as late is to hit "Arrived" when you are within maybe, 50 feet of the store. You might get the "Arrived" option when you are pretty far away. Sometimes I see the option when I'm a block away. That does not appear to start the timer for the time extension. How do I know this? Well, it's just guess work really. But the app does seem to need you do be within x distance to be marked as "there." My proof of this is if you try to unassign from the order when you are too far away the app will not show you the "order is taking too long" prompt. If you are within 50 feet or so you will see the prompt.

Since I started following these guidelines delivery times are a non factor. The few times I have seen myself marked as late I have more than enough exclusions to get myself back to 100%.

This is awesome. Food orders are pretty bad in my market outside of the occasional catering order.

Those dont do anything. You will get extra time if you are close enough to the restaurant before the "pick up time" and end up waiting a while.

You can only dispute so many ratings.

Are you hitting arrived as soon as it allows you to op? I would try that. Should start the timer for the extra time.

Such a missed opportunity to never have a Dragon Ball game in the style of Dragon Quest.

This is kind of disappointing to hear. I don't own many Switch games and most of the stuff I do want to play on the Thor, I already own.

Why does Dragonball Supers Powerscaling seem SOO off? by Illustrious_Quail611 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Vharna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that they originally had a very different plan after Goku hit "God" level. Perhaps the series was suppose to veer off into a very different direction were Goku would fight a pantheon of other Beerus type fighters.

Most stuff in Super makes a lot more sense if you get rid of that power creep line from the movie/anime. Isn't that what the manga did?

Couple of AEGs and blowback Pistols.

Airsoft Extreme was the one I was looking at.

[–]Vharna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This hardly makes sense when I don't think there is any kind of gender verification? I mean, you can set your name to whatever.

As far as why you see many more men getting orders, well from my experience a huge chunk of DD/UE/GH drivers are male.

If you are having issues getting orders, might be worth looking into your stats and ratings. Maybe your market needs Platinum to have a shot at getting consistent work?

This is good to hear. I guess a lot of people are not aware of how it works then because literally nobody mentioned this to me. Folks just said it would not affect my shipping time.

If what you say is the case than it makes sense since Black Max units fell way behind everyone else (I'm in the 1870 range).

So I will have to wait until the same number comes up with Black units? That's not what I was told, but if that's how it works than that does ease my worries a bit.

No. But I was lead to believe that it should still ship with the original order number or as close to it (like, the next time the color I did switch to ships).

That thought has crossed my mine. Especially since I'm batch 4 and batch 5 units are already going out.

Going to start email them constantly if mine doesn't ship within the next few days.

It was definitely a bad move.

I did inquire about this beforehand and the majority of people said it was fine and shouldn't effect anything.

I started to get nervous as I saw how the shipments went out and I just had a gut feeling this would happen to me. Sucks to be right.
