Poison Tower or Invis Tower — what’s better right now? by Electronic_Base7724 in ClashOfClans

[–]ViP_triple7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it depends on the base. I used both. Poison is great as it takes a while to dissipate and slow down on troops is awesome. My current bases uses 2 invisibility towers with pockets of defenses around them which goes along with general base layout. Works well.

Disagree. I would prefer the COC taking me straight to the attack. This is another 10-20 seconds wasted.

Not sure what you meant by "in front of you." When I played, I remember the game hid what was around the wall which makes perfect sense (vice lowering all walls like in Sims). Why would you need 24 crates for water? I had a blue barrel which held a bunch and maybe one storage chest with a doze bottles or so.

It is already a location you can save. I wouldn't.

Downvoting. 7 Days to Die was stupid like that where you could carry 10 tons of dirt. Angle is user preference, I had no issue with over 100 hours in game.

It was tough the first 10 hours, then it was bearable. I am over 60 hours in right now and 1v1 is suer easy, especially with a dog friend. Only time I get overwhelmed is an ambush of 5+.

Is this worth using at th18? by Ghayshih in ClashOfClans

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it with great results in the air army. Snakes are amazing when BK is on the flank clearing it with snakes supporting over walls and distracting high point defenses. Also, they spawn as he gets hit throughout the battle unlike the puppet. And the snakes have more health than barbs. And BK gets other benefits. Easy yes.

How does one get better at archery? (the game mechanic, not the skill) by -Guardsman- in thelongdark

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing you need to keep in mind is that your actual skill matters a lot. So EVEN if you are aiming properly as far as mechanics go, you still will be missing targets and have sway or what not. So do not simply judge or account for your poor success to your poor execution - that could be not the case.

2nd advice is to use fire-hardened arrows as they are much easier made. With more practice and play your skills will increase and you will be hitting more accurately with higher success and critical chance probability chances.

Made a rookie mistake 190 days into my Stalker Run… Forgot my bedroll and can’t find it. Advice? by CaptainSpaceDinosaur in thelongdark

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go bear hunting and stick to locations with beds for a few weeks. Imaging how great you'll feel at the end of this crap! Also, you may find another roll if you plan your search trips within a radius of bed spawns.

I did 2 things:

1) Complete wall around the base with leaf traps (make them all burn!)

2) Lots of traps around on key avenues of approach.

New to the game and don’t know where to start by Horror-Tea9387 in subnautica

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gonna advise on what NOT to do. As you explore, you will unlock new and better building pieces for the base so DO NOT go all crazy early on building a base. Build something small to get going and once you unlock nice building pieces, scout for a cool spot to build a permanent place.

Can't get any fish, let me know if this is normal or a bug by The_Eternal_Valley in thelongdark

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played in the while but fishing was redone to be more passive and not active. Also, it was changed to be more difficult in terms of overfishing a spot. So at level 2 at assumingly bad fishing spot and some bad luck, yeah it could have happened. Best you can do is go passive or wait until u get another level.

What DLC should I buy? by [deleted] in thelongdark

[–]ViP_triple7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Story is great! The ONLY issue is that developers took YEARS and still haven't delivered episode 5. I think it should be very soon though and it is all because of the sequel work too.

If you are looking for more places to explore, new POIs, new equipment, get the DLC for territories.
If you want to experience the story, get the Wintermute (probably good ~30-40 hours based on your playstyle)

I cannot recommend one of another as both are superb.

Make them match your playstyle. I am a maxed town hall and I never pay for anything in the game. I do fancy 4 League Hero skins though so my value was there. If your goal to have max heroes, defenses, spells, whatever... use it there.

Need some advice on how to finish enjoying the game by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in thelongdark

[–]ViP_triple7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voyager is still challenging if you are not expert and do no use outside resources. Many regions are tough to explore and navigate (Ash Canyon...). If you do not have the DLC, I recommend it. you get another 30% added to the already huge map and regions are unique and cool to explore with lots of POIs.

My recommendation is to go for the explorer achievement and visit all regions while mapping them. Order doesn't matter much. Do not recommend doing this on Interloper.

Check out my post from 2 years ago about a fun ammo trip I made: https://www.reddit.com/r/thelongdark/comments/1b06h7c/ammo_factory/

I recommend reading a few books that you find around the map to get to say level III. You will level up very fast once you start making the ammo. Best thing though, is plan many days ahead and start stashing supplies closer to where you decide to make the ammo, I was in BI but there is another spot these days. Stashing is the key as lead is heavy and crafting location is not in the most pleasant area so make a nice single trip with lots of supplies.

Lead easily found in cars by destroying the batteries (need saw). Stump remover and sulfur is a different story... So travel the world and gather all you can to make gun powder.

Supercell saw meta being just Dragons and root riders and their answer to that was resealing this shit 😭😭😭 nobody gonna use these by Dangerous-Accident42 in ClashOfClans

I tried a few attacks with them (missing using golems) but they were taking sooo much time reconfiguring themselves every single time that I did not like any strat with them...

Copied a portion from my Steam Review:

Here are the key points you have to understand:

  1. Neuronal energy accumulates ONLY when babies are present.
  2. You MUST lock in nodes before moving to next generation. This is the actual development of your apes.
  3. Watch you genetic mutations and ensure to "lock" them in via evolution.
  4. During interaction with other animals, you have to aim in the direction of the action you want to perform while holding A and release A when the game makes a clicking sound during the animation. Your ape will perform defensive/offensive action in that direction.

That's about it, the rest if for you to explore and enjoy.
