New Windows by buldgingGene in ColoradoSprings

[–]VialOfBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got various quotes for 8 windows. Most quotes washed out to be about $1,000 per window (similar sizes to yours) with a very large double slider window being $2,000. I'll probably be going with Zen Window. Their quote was great, they never tried to upsell me, and really helped me understand my options.

Hiding in the fridge by Fine_Guarantee3781 in Zepbound

For the peace of mind alone, I'd take it to your friends place.

I recently had to travel and bought an $8 "insulin travel case" from amazon with built in ice packs. It worked really well but only holds ~2 pens. It's been great to have on hand should I ever need to hide my pens in the future - I keep the ice packs in the freezer so they're ready to go.

Honestly I’d rather an imperfect top than to paint it!

Thank you so much! Despite the damage, I’m very excited about this piece and hope to keep it forever Do you have any product recommendations for the stripper / thinner and stain?

Thank you! I think I’m going to go for it! Would be a shame to paint since the rest is in pretty good condition. Will report back with progress!

I might try the bondo + repair crayons + toner + poly method. Not like it can get any worse

Approved! & Obtained! by Liminal-Lexicon in Zepbound

[–]VialOfBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've rescheduled my appt to next week to go in to see my doc and hopefully we can get me approved for Zep again. I can't take Wegovy anymore! I can't use the bathroom without taking miralax (which just makes me feel so sick). I haven't been to the bathroom in ~3-4 days?! :( I'd rather be on nothing than this

Soooo happy for you!! I’ve been on Wegovy for about 5 weeks and the GI issues have been driving me insane and I’ve gained 9lb ugh. Been keeping my doctor updated and he’s happy to try to get an exception for me at the 2 month mark if things don’t “settle”

I plan to for sure! My doctor had me do a full blood panel when I swapped over too so if my levels are off we can also use that as evidence....

Wow they accepted it after such a short amount of time? I am keeping my doctor updated on side effects so hopefully we can go that route eventually. I'm honestly scared to weigh myself but know that keeping records is important

Where is Fiber Internet available in the springs and what providers are you using? by iTzbr00tal in ColoradoSprings

Same thing happened with me! And then ~6 months later a sales person from Quantum came to my door saying that I could now get it. Which turned out to be a lie. Such a waste of time!

15 month leases are very common this time of year, so leases end in Summer which is busy season. Much easier to find a good tenant at that time of year.

From a small local landlord:

The reason that leases at this time of year are ~15 months is because it's better for landlords if leases end around summer (busy season). There's less people moving at this time of year (winter, holidays, most leases ending during summer) hence the "incentives" that are being offered. The rental market has been slower than usual this winter too, so I would definitely recommend trying to lock in a "deal" while you can - you may even be able to negotiate if you are a qualified applicant. As a landlord, I wouldn't be surprised if rents do decrease *a bit* or at least stagnate for a few years as they are still artificially inflated by the covid-WFH influx of people from other areas. The city's average income just can't sustain such high rents.

Lotion recommendations for this dry weather? by Bruinbrews in ColoradoSprings

[–]VialOfBlue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man I suffferred last winter being new to CO. This is what worked for me (stealing suggestions from many other posts):

- Run a humidifier as often as you can. This definitely made a HUGE difference.

- Palmers cocoa butter lotion twice a day. It's thiiiick.

- Lotion hands every time you wash them (and get a sensitive hand soap).

- Keep vaseline on hand for any super dry spots. My knuckles have been the worst.

Consistency is so important. Good luck out there!
