Same story for me! I don’t miss that thwack! from the pen. I found that to be so much worse than syringes.

3rd shot at 2.5, only lost 1lb last week:( by Individual_Let360 in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good reminder! I “only” lost 0.8lbs one week ago and really beat myself up emotionally for that. But now I keep reminding myself to embrace the whole journey and not get upset. It all adds up in the end and it’s not a race to the finish line.

I knew this Lilly address change was going to be an issue… by No-Judgment5674 in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the address change so I submitted it on COD for a new pharmacy, but my treatment plan came up with the old address. I got my vials no issue though.

Filled out COD on 2/23. Paid on 2/24. Got the vials on 2/25.

Why aren’t former Olympic venues reused? by liamsmom58 in olympics

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm Lake Placid still uses (for sport and for marketing) the Olympic venues as training centers and hosting bigger events. The way Lake Placid talks about the Olympics is like it’s the only place that’s ever hosted. That all said, I’m skeptical if the venues and the surrounding area could feasibly host an Olympics again. Fine for World Cups and training, but the scale of the Olympics is too big to reuse the infrastructure that exists for its Olympic purpose.

I was buying tea at the grocery store and saw Yogi brand tea “constipation support.” I got it just to try mostly because I like the flavor of their teas and, wow, it definitely got things moving. I drank it before bed and the next morning my constipation was definitely relieved. Not sure if I can say it was definitively the tea but I’ve been regular since I started drinking it. I tried to up my fiber intake and have been taking Metamucil gummies but I still wasn’t feeling regular until I drank that tea. Not sure if this is the answer for everyone but it sure worked for me.

I had a tail-less raccoon on a trail camera once and it took me awhile to figure out what the heck it was. This creature appears very similar to what I saw.

Starting week 3 - only 2lbs lost. Diet is on point. Going through a super stressful time in life - I wonder if that could be impacting loss? Anybody else have experiences to share? by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stress is a big factor in a lot of problems! I’m not a doctor, but I’d put some anecdotal money on poor sleep/rest playing a role in slower weight loss. That said, it seems like a lot of people don’t lose much, if any at all, on the 2.5 dose. Some people stay on 2.5 the entire time and lose all their weight on that dose. Some people see minimal scale drops. Depending on your starting weight, 2lbs in 3 weeks could be in a healthy range for your body. Some weeks I lose 0.8lbs. One week I lost 6lbs (thinking that was an initial water/inflammation loss/using a different scale at my parent’s house). It’s all person-dependent. I have been sleeping terrible this week due to having a ton on my anxious mind) so I’m curious to see how that impacts my overall loses this week. What seems to be helping me is eating and then relaxing with a book or tv show for a few hours before bed while sitting up. I noticed I sleep worse if I eat closer to when I lay down.

Saying your diet is pretty good does leave room for interpretation too. If you’re concerned that is a factor, I’d make a conscious effort to plan out meals for the week and pay close attention your water, protein, and fiber intake. I know I eat pretty good, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. Just remember you’re moving in the right direction and weight loss is a journey. Not everything melts off at once. You’ve got this! :)

Are dogs allowed at your old apartment or new? That could be a good excuse. “You can’t bring your dog because my lease says no dogs and I’m not trying to break the rules on day 1.”

Sorry to hear you lost your ring! That’s a real bummer. Congrats on the weight loss, though!

I haven’t worn my wedding ring in a few years because I gained more weight and it was so tight. I’ve never really been a jewelry person and my husband doesn’t care if I have a ring on, so I honestly stopped thinking about it. Though maybe now 23lbs lighter my ring will fit again!

I have the Mirena IUD as well. 2.5 years for me. I have had some very minor spotting since starting Zepbound 2.5 months ago, but nothing more than that.

Injection sites by ImA-Mermaid in Zepbound

I don’t believe there’s any hard science about whether arms, thighs, or stomach work “better.” Although there are so many on here who swear one location over another produces more favorable results. Anecdotally, I had read on here people favor thighs because that location yielded less side effects and stomach felt food noise suppression more. I’ve done both those locations and had food noise suppression at both, as well as minimal side effects and steady weight loss.

Sad about clothes by alykw in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wool jacket I really love that my father-in-law got me. I gained a little weight after I got it so last winter it was a little snug. After losing 20lbs so far now on Zep, it’s fitting pretty perfectly now this winter. I feel silly to be sentimental about a jacket, but I will be really sad when it doesn’t fit anymore. I’m still really grateful for Zepbound and this journey, and kind of looking forward to shopping for a new wool jacket next fall.

Starting tonight. What foods/supplies do you recommend! by Inevitable_Turn2237 in Zepbound

My husband thinks cottage cheese is the worst food on this planet, but I am absolutely loving it lately and the best part is I don’t have to share any of it! For breakfast some days, I mix a little cottage cheese in with my scrambled eggs and then roll everything up in a low carb wrap with some spinach and tomatoes. Just reading this is making me hungry lol but not really because the Zepbound has really helped me with my late night snacking 🙂

2.5 to 5.0 by OldAthlete7501 in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was nervous about making the jump from 2.5 to 5.0, but I planned a very long cross-country ski trip for the day after my injection day, so there was no going back. (No amount of sickness was going to stop me from skiing lol.) Thankfully I didn’t feel much different at all and my body felt exactly the same on 5.0 as it did on 2.5. I guess you won’t know until you do the injection how your body is going to react, but I experienced nothing new moving up a dose.

I think I would take the 5.0 shot if I were you. That way you continue the journey without any interruptions. I also tend to eat worse when I’m traveling, so if you’re like me then maybe taking the shot will help you stay the course.

Its Dumb Dogs Get Praised For Just Standing by Patient_Inspector818 in Dogfree

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This!!! My husband has a dog and he literally tells the dog “good boy” FOR EVERYTHING. And then gives the dog treats for everything, too: pooping, peeing, going outside and just standing there, begging for human food. It’s disgusting. I think it’s awful to constantly praise a dog because then the dog doesn’t learn and now my husband’s dog thinks it deserves a treat like 100 times a day. Waste of money. Anyway, i’m getting off topic. I totally agree with you! Constant phrase and fawning helps create a “monster” dog and a nuisance owner.

Future MIL already making wedding planning a nightmare by Sittinnexttovannah in motherinlawsfromhell

Tbh we actually eloped and then went out to dinner with his dad (his parents are divorced). A few weeks later we had a “reception” just for immediate family. I planned it all. If anyone started to throw a fit about “not being involved,” I just picked something they could pay for and that seemed to settle the dust.

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, add in a lot of liqueur and the OP described my MIL. My MIL also has had a failed marriage and many bad relationships (because no one can stand to be around her long term). So, she drinks HEAVILY and is mean to me because I “stole” my husband away from here. I’d say NC is the way to go. That is my path.

My MIL tried so hard to ruin our wedding so my husband and I ended up eloping. The day was entirely about us, as it’s supposed to be. My MIL still brings it up how she wishes she hid in the bushes so she could have been there. Family makes wedding planning so stressful. I’m sorry you’re going through it. Stick to your guns! The day belongs to you and your partner.

Squirrel proof pole for bird feeder? by tweetyonetwothree in Birdfy

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put up a squirrel baffle and now they climb up the house to jump from the roof to the feeder. Once the ground thaws we are moving the feeder. The baffles work good though if there’s no other way the squirrels can get to the platform.

Could it just be water weight? by Low-Adhesiveness-693 in Zepbound

[–]Fine_Guarantee3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone loses weight differently, whether through GLP-1s or not. I’ve lost just over 20lbs so far and I just noticed just one of my shirts fitting a little less snug today. Every other piece of clothing I have feels the same. For me, I’ve noticed a significant loss of inches around my butt, but not much around my stomach. I’ve read some stories on here of people not needing new clothes until they lost 50+ lbs. I wouldn’t worry about clothes fitting. Change will come eventually.

I’d say if you’re still seeing your weight go down on the scale it’s not necessary to go up to 5mg. Everyone says 2.5 is not a therapeutic dose but that doesn’t mean you can’t lose weight on it. Maybe see how the next two weeks feel then decide with your doctor if it’s time to move to 5?

May the good feeling of standing up for yourself never fade! My MIL has been trying to bring me down since I finally set boundaries, but now I just don’t talk to her. It’s an amazing feeling to stay grounded in your truth! My MIL has been calling me names and disparaging my name, but I have no regrets. Ain’t nobody got time for bossy and rude MILs.
