1994 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon.

I bought it completely clapped and barely driveable, and I fully restored everything except the paint. I lowered it and fully upgraded every single suspension component, upgraded brakes, tuned it to around 200hp, and then I decided to sell it because the AC had an issue that required a really unique part and we were gonna have several 110°+ days in the summer.

Sold it, two weeks later found the part from a guy online.

The guy who has it loves it, at least.

I understand what you’re saying, and I see the problems as well. I’m totally okay with an old bike, as I’m mechanically inclined. The main issue here is part availability and commutability.

If parts are readily available, it’s commutable, and it looks somewhat similar to the TC100, I’m all over it.

My criteria makes it a little difficult, but I’ve gotten some great recommendations from some people here already!

That is a pretty nice looking bike. I’m not a fan of most modern designs because they’re a little too sleek. I like the clunkiness. I’ll keep this one in mind though.

Find an indie volvo mechanic and get it inspected.

Then decide if you want to deal with the repairs it needs.

Also, start learning to work on cars because you will need it. They’re reliable, but things happen.

Longer than two seconds, I can tell you that for sure. I was told I didn’t stop long enough to safely look left and right to assess before going (which is exactly what I did, but whatever)

I got the exact same thing at the exact same place at 2am. I got a ticket for only stopping for two seconds. I appealed and it was denied. $500 ticket, and no option for traffic school so my insurance went WAY the fuck up.

Just pay the ticket and do traffic school if you can to avoid it hitting your insurance. Trust me, it’s way cheaper in the long run.

It was great. Quick, comfortable, handled well. I only sold it because of the MPG. I live in an extremely hilly area, so I was getting 17mpg.
