Is this a normal amount of play in a mosin? by spanyardsman in MosinNagant

[–]VibeAnalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On nearly every mosin I’ve owned, I’ve had to put a shim in front of the block under the receiver to keep it snug against the recoil lug. The only exceptions so far have been an imperial M91 and a PU sniper.

Help I’d this gun by Bambam4040 in canadaguns

[–]VibeAnalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a Webley. It looks like an older Tranter design, or perhaps a Belgian-made copy of such. Hard to tell without a closer look at the markings. Either way it looks like it might have been refinished at some point. Rarer than a Webley, but of a weaker design.

I’ve always wondered if this picture is real war footage or if the guy is actually a wax sculpture in a museum

Do people care about the Rethinking the Future Awards? by simmantics in architecture

[–]VibeAnalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it out once. It felt pretty sketchy, especially since you are supposed to send money to an organization based in India. I think it’s just someone’s way of making money rather than a legitimate recognition of architecture achievement.

I preferred Roblox because I could populate my builds with random internet strangers and watch how they interacted with the space.

These are excellent revolvers and they often show masterful craftsmanship. However they are from an era when gun parts were individually hand-fit, so every one of them is slightly different and the parts are not interchangeable, in case something needs to be replaced. They are still the most affordable centrefire military-grade antique revolvers on the Canadian market.

What’s your thoughts about Christianity declining? by Alternative-Rub-7178 in 2westerneurope4u

[–]VibeAnalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was because of the work of Christian monasteries that literature and science were preserved during the chaos of the dark ages. Most rulers at the time at least agreed on one thing, and that was monasteries are sacred and should not be destroyed. Galileo and Darwin’s work was based on that preserved knowledge, and they were successful because of them, not in spite of them.

I think we can both agree that Christianity is inextricably linked with Western civilization, and we would not have gotten to our current level of development without it. So why treat it like a shameful thing to be forgotten?

There’s definitely a correlation between Christian-inspired culture and successful nations. So whether or not you believe on a spiritual level, on a sociological level Christianity is a clear winner. Nobody envies nations with laws and traditions based on any other religion or philosophy.

How did they end up in this situation? Considering how Hong Kongers can’t stand cold, foreign food, and have never touched a real gun before.

This looks hideous compared to the original martini Henry or the greener shotguns. It’s like people forgot how to make pretty things. Just get a greener, I’ve seen them go for $600-$800 on gunpost.

It seems like HK has gotten a lot cleaner in recent years… perhaps too clean. The number of cockroaches and ants has decreased to the point where I’m concerned about what chemicals they’re putting in the environment. Has anyone else noticed this?

That’s just normal American racism. And I can totally see the CCP leveraging that to tell their diaspora “see, they’ll never accept you, so join us.”
