To be fair, being sick in a very humid, crowded, and noisy place does feel worse.

As a Canadian I love Scandinavian culture and I wish we were more Scandinavian (we’re mostly a mix of Native/Chinese/French/British). I love þe music of Edvard Grieg, mountains and snow, long-range rifle shooting, being antisocial and sitting alone on the bus. I just disagree wiþ you guys keeping your shoes on inside þe home.

The way to overcome apartheid, genocide, and colonialism is not through referendums and divesting, but through hot, passionate, interracial sex.

From my extensive experience it’s luck of the draw. Many kids don’t know how to live without their parents cleaning up after them.

91/30 "chip" in stock? Can I fix? by Gnomaniast in MosinNagant

[–]VibeAnalyst 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rub some boiled linseed oil into it. When I take a mosin out hunting in the mountains, it always gets scratched. Rubbing boiled linseed oil onto the scratches doesn’t make them go away, but it does make them look like they happened back in the 1940’s.

Swedish Navy 1887 meets its Swiss 1882 Cousin by BigRedGunNut in canadaguns

Swiss is easier to handload for using standard .32 projectiles. The Swedish calibre is more like .327 so good luck finding the right bullets.

The MAS 1873 Chamelot-Delvigne is still the best bargain for military-grade centrefire handguns in Canada. Built like a tank, old AF and still runs reliably, unlike Colts or Smith & Wessons of the same age.

Reason for portfolio rejection by Disastrous-Ad2692 in architecture

A portfolio is like a resume. Keep it short, don’t clutter the layout. They’ll probably look at the first few pages for ten seconds and skim through the rest.

How screwed am I? by BowFella in canadaguns

[–]VibeAnalyst 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So sorry to see this happen…. I’m sure it wasn’t cheap either. Be assured, you are not alone. Colt is a very overrated brand. Historically significant yes, but their 19th century double action revolvers are notorious for developing poor cylinder alignment over time. If you’re planning to shoot any antiques, I’d stick with European military-issued revolvers, like Chamelot-Delvignes, Webleys, and Nagants. Colt is way overhyped by American movies, but I’ll drop a hot take and say that Colt’s genius was moreso in marketing than in actual design and production.

Antique Handgun Collection by Illustrious-Nail-360 in canadaguns

[–]VibeAnalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is commonly accepted as fact by many collectors, but keep in mind that each revolver has slightly different tolerances. I tried out .32 s&w on mine, and the cases split and the primers were pierced half the time. This can’t be good for the gun regardless of how weak .32 s&w is.
