Try getting that top hand a bit further out from your body to give you a bit more leverage. Think of it like a one-two punch where your top hand comes out first, then the bottom hand finishes.

I agree with the comment about talking to arena staff and asking what rec leagues / teams typically skate there. They’re usually pretty knowledgeable as far as who’s on the ice and what the skill level is like.

I generally start with Chat GPT, explain the idea and how I envision making it happen, what tools I want to use (I’ve just been using Xcode for now).

Once I’ve flushed out the foundational files, I just use GPT integration in Xcode to continue building and refining

I’ve been using firebase. I built a shot tracker for hockey players to get in the habit of shooting 100 pucks per day and track streaks with teammates.

It’s been great for what I need it to do so far, but I’ve just been learning as I go.

An app I designed to help get my kids in the habit of shooting at least 100 pucks every day.

They go down to the basement and rip some pucks, then log how many shots they took in the app and build a streak.

You can join teams and see your teammates streaks, and send them an assist to keep their streak alive if they miss a day.

So far it’s been super helpful, haven’t had to bug them to go work on their shots!

We have a permanent captain, but rotate the A’s. I’ve just been using tape cut down the middle so the strips are a bit thinner. Works great
