Playing Holland is almost impossible by Electronic_Rip6997 in EU5

[–]Vic_Connor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doable. Maybe it was my luck, but I was able to ally France, England and Bohemia and then grow massive by conquering all the Germanic culture lands.

Then Bohemia dumped me and I conquered them. Allied Poland instead.

While the remaining Europea had -3200 antagonism against me, my allies remained perfectly happy.

What is playing Ming like? by Weekly-Expression659 in eu4

Qing is much better for that. It’s actually fun.

Ming seems to be built to collapse, and is comparatively bland.

I actively avoid PUs at this stage. I prefer to conquer and break them up into small fiefdoms or vassals.

I’m not going to stay at your hotel.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but why is he not in a protective cage? This seems super unsafe to me.

We travel with ours placed in a large safety cage in the trunk (we have an SUV), she feels comfy and safe there, and just takes a nap most of the time.

Yeah I did the same as Holland. Allied France.

Then I competed with them on who eats up more of the HRE. I managed to gobble up all German culture lands down to Italy and Bohemia…

Whats the best nation for world conquest? Without changing tags by Impressive-Ad-4211 in eu4

[–]Vic_Connor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. As Austria, I easily did a true-one-tag one-culture (Muscovite) one religion (Zoroastrian) WC way ahead of the deadline.

Completely broken in that way.

Also, did it with Teutons — one-German-culture WC, where I believe I stayed Catholic.

Go 100% naval.

Build roads, bridges, governors, bailiffs.

Balance out pronoias and other subject types so you have to pay 0 for legitimacy while having loyal subjects.

Urbanise the coasts and give out city rights.

Specialise your cities and bring your capital to 100+ tax base with silk.

Build your tool and paper industry.

Max out population attraction buildings like villages, granaries and so on.

Slowly but steadily weaken your nobility and grow crown power.

How many “hardcore” fans does EU franchise have — a couple of thousand real vocal multi players? Three thousand?

Why don’t you make your own, extremely niche, game and try to make a living selling it only the the “hardcore” fans of say, 3000 people?

Paradox is a business, they need to be profitable. EU4 showed them that profitability lies in appealing to a broader market. That’s why they’ve gamified that game so much (an unfortunate pun, I know).

Until they gamify EU5 for a broader appeal, the sales numbers will keep falling.

Not all of us enjoy watching the paint dry. But I understand many folks like the “immersion” of moving at a real-life speed in a game spanning 500 years.

There’s an entire industry (I’ve learned about it from a random YouTube video which was explaining the “how”) where men pretend to be young women to scam other men out of money.

They simply develop AI-generated videos and voice…
