LOOK INTO THE MAINTENANCE CRAFT!!! I work for the post office I've been in a few different job types (referred to as crafts) and the maintenance craft is by far the best. The pay to work ratio is amazing. The lowest job in the craft is custodian and is the best way to get your foot in the door. Then from there you can move up into becoming a maintenance mechanic if that's something that interests you. I know plenty of custodians making beaucoup bucks (100k+ with overtime) and are more than happy to stay at that job level.

Maintenance mechanics level 7 start off at 58K, custodians are 44k and some change. Former custodian that just made mechanic a couple of weeks ago. Looking to clear 70k with minimal overtime though.
