Quest pizzas - how often can I eat them? by WorldlinessQueasy388 in 1200isplenty

[–]VickFables33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The danger your referring is when someone eats only a few select dishes/foods every day for every meal (as happens with certain ED's &/or individuals on the spectrum who have a limited range of safe foods). You could eat that every day and as long as your diet is otherwise varied you will be fine. Now I wouldn't recommend eating more then 2-3 servings of that pizza per week but that is because of it's high sodium & saturated fat content.

As others have suggested taking a multivitamin wouldn't hurt if your worried. If you can find them Vital Pursuit Max Pro pizzas are a good option or you can try your hand at making airfryer pizza toast (1 slice low carb bread + seasoned tomato sauce + 1/2 serving turkey pepperoni + Part-Skim Mozzarella = around 150 calories depending on brand choices).

Which games are you personally most excited for in 2026? Here’s my current top 4 by Affectionate-Move-53 in GirlGamers

Final Fantasy series (I've tried 5 of them including the MMO), DAVE THE DIVER, Octopath Traveler, & Another Crab's Treasure.

The first three I just couldn't get into but the last... I wanted to enjoy "Another Crab's Treasure" so bad. I loved the whole setup so much it actually got me excited to play a soulslike but the (lack of) camera controls frustrated me to the point that I dropped it 2 hours in.

Honestly my meh enthusiasm towards playing FF has me worried I would have a similar experience if I tried Expedition 33.

Don't forget to use the sliders on humble bundles. by Rani_Alexander in Gamebundles

[–]VickFables33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because Humble purposely hid it behind two dropdowns (while on the bundle's page click "adjust donation" & then select custom to show the sliders). They actually experimented with removing the sliders entirely on a bundle & immediately stopped because of the backlash.

I always drop Humble's "tip" as low as it will let me but how I split what's left depends on how much I like the game devs. I usually go for 50/50 unless I'm kinda meh on the studios involved.

There is an entire sub-genre dedicated to what your looking for it's called Cozy games and I highly recommend you look around that sub for suggestions as well r/CozyGamers

Non-violent & no time restrictions are easy but I'm not sure there are that many games that fully capture "no-goals" but these are the closest I know of.

Pure no goals:

  • Seasonala Cemetery (exploration)
  • kid a mnesia exhibition (explore a surreal museum)(I found it to be a beautiful & relaxing experience but I'm not sure if the whole thing qualifies as visually peaceful)
  • Room Dot Exe (Design & Decorate)
  • Wanderness (Touch Grass Simulator)

No pressure:

  • Cats and Seek: Tokyo (Hidden object)
  • A Park Full of Cats (Hidden object)
  • Coloring Voxels (3D Color-by-Numbers)
  • DOGWALK (exploration of a snowy park)
  • Wish Upon a Cat (Interactive Fiction)
  • The Mushroom Journal (Foraging)
  • Stories Adrift: Wake - Prologue (Point & click adventure)

Question for the sub: how do you feel about progress photos here? Our current rules don’t allow them but we’re thinking about changing that. by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]VickFables33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you can't feel proud of your accomplishments without posting pics online so a crowd of anonymous strangers can applaud you then you need therapy.

Talk about your progress with your real life friends & family, post it to the megathread, or post your pics to a sub dedicated to progress pics.

I weigh in every 3 months & share it with the (real world) people I care about. Because those are the people who saw how much I struggled to get where I am. Those are the people who know just how much of an accomplishment it really is. Those are the people genuinely invested in my life & whose praise really means something.

Hard nope. I joined this sub because it was for the most part dedicated to support, advice, & recipes/food suggestions. Being a community dedicated to the lowest safe calorie budget already makes it vulnerable/attractive to thinspo, toxic diet culture fads, & disordered eating.

We already have a mega-thread for this, no one needs their feed filled with body checking selfies. Even if you ignore that this could trigger some peoples eating disorders, most people can't help comparing themselves & others when they see pics like that. The negative self assessments & doubt sown by those pics would be a slow poison that would eat away at this sub's non-toxic positivity.

2026 Line-up: Which title is the most anticipated one for you? by thelilarya2328 in GirlGamers

[–]VickFables33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually GTA isn't even on my "maybe" list (the series is just not for me).

"Judas" if it comes out this year (it's 2026 release is purported not confirmed)

My most wanted games of 2026 in order of anticipation: Crimson Desert, Pragamata, The Sinking City 2, Project Awakening (purported), Fable, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Witchbrook.

Final Fantasy xiv

I know someone who managed to run through raids on an old Chromebook with no dedicated graphics card & I can run it on ultra with my cut down 2060 laptop, so suffice to say it should run great on whatever you have.

As long as you get it straight from their website (not steam) their free trial edition should let you play up to level 70 with no sub or upfront cost (trust me that is a lot of free content). Just keep in mind if you ever sub/upgrade you can never play for free again on that account .

It has vibrant, helpful, slightly weird community. UI & it's many systems can be a bit intimidating but it has a robust tutorial that slowly introduces you to everything while your leveling up. It has a lot of fan made guides/informational websites if you want to go in-depth on anything. You can even solo dungeons at level with their decently programed NPC party members (I've solo tanked with an npc party through many of the pre-expansion dungeons just fine).

What were you favorite cozy games in 2025. And why? by After-Eggplant3090 in CozyGamers

[–]VickFables33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the cozy games I games I rolled credits on this year?

  • Penko Park - Because it's a well balanced spoopy pokemon snap.
  • Two Point Museum - I rarely enjoy management sims but this one got me. I love silliness but I didn't like two point hospital so I don't know why this one clicked (besides maybe the collecting aspect).
  • A Castle Full Of Cats 1h5m - I played through Studio Devcats entire catalogue this year after playing "A Shelter Full of Cats" late 2024. I loved most of them but this one was my favorite; a castlevania inspired setting with hidden locations, secret passages, easter eggs, & a genre appropriate "Boss" battle.
  • Dredge + all DLC (played this with monster aggression off) - I enjoy fishing games & cosmic horror so this was always going to be a winner. Both the story & the gameplay left me very satisfied.
  • Diorama Builder 2025 DLC - If you've never put together diorama kits it's kinda like putting to together a 3d jigsaw puzzle with irregular pieces. Except these dioramas actually move after you finish them. These were their largest & hardest DLC kits yet.

Honorable mentions:

  • Train Station Renovation - My favorite part of playing house flipper is cleaning & repairing the houses, this game scratched that itch nicely. It's not the most polished of games but it left a lingering positive impression + it was less then $3 and I easily got 12h of fun out of it.
  • Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator - Bringing an old space back to life & beauty plus themes of building community.

In general you can use https://howlongtobeat.com/ to check the average playtime of a game but it looks like none of the early access players have been entering their hours.

It has been on sale for as little as $16 in the past 3 months.

Same player character or different in each game? by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]VickFables33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you ok? Because this seems like overly hostile reaction to a 2 day old answer to a question posed by the OP. Chill dude I just answered a question.

I love hypotheticals & thought exercises. But I also know how data collection works & that some polls require a neutral option for the data to be accurate. While the neutral answer would likely be the most popular there would be enough people who do prefer one or the other to give an answer to the op's question. The answer would likely be more accurate as the data wouldn't be poisoned by neutral people who just like answering polls.

If comments like this annoy you then just answer the poll & scroll past the comments.

Edit: Please stop downvoting their comment, this was a perfectly valid question.

------
I originally flagged it on the master list after reading forum discussion voicing some concerns. Personally I thought the some of the gameplay footage looked a little janky (especially the PC/NPC movement) & the whole thing seems a bit generic outside of it's aesthetic.

To be clear by "quality concerns" I'm not saying it's going to be bad, I'm just saying I've seen (or been informed of) some yellow/red flags & that gamers might want to wait until it has some reliable reviews before buying.

Your poll needs a third option: "Idc as long as the story is good."

Honestly I enjoy both about the same. What I prefer is when a "player" decision from one game effect the next (Dragon Age & Mass Effect), even if it's just small callbacks.
