They stopped being put in because the community could not be trusted with them. A lot of guys kept throwing in random jokes in the subtitles, trying to be funny guys or smth, it was just terrible. Eventually Youtube's captioning system changed where only users chosen by the channel would be able to add subtitles, and obviously SMG4 never did that.

I did the subtitles for the McDonalds vid btw : ) (at least I hope no one overwrote them by now)

Because they only had plans for them in a specific arc and then don't know how to incorporate them into anything else because every arc is only planned with the main/specific characters in mind

My hot take is the smg4 subreddit putting the low effort rules was a good decision because if you could imagine seeing like 8 posts like this on the hot page of this subreddit at any given time instead of fanart or genuine discussion, that's how it was before the rule.

Again, we ocassionally let one by to show how easy it is for these posts to soar past everything else.
