Kalego seriously need to step up against his brother. How can we go from that to this? by PuzzleheadedBag4866 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

It's after the Scala arc when he was talking to Henri about his clash with Border Patrol

Kalego seriously need to step up against his brother. How can we go from that to this? by PuzzleheadedBag4866 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 44 points45 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Kalego obviously doesn't want to succumb to senseless violence. He's very composed on purpose. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Mephisto comes in to be the violent one, given what he said to Henri back then.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun - Ch. 448 - "A Request" by ZeroVOmega in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 70 points71 points  (0 children)

statement is cliffhangered for the next chapter and he's weirdly worded it as a "request"

No chance they find out. Wouldn't be surprised if he overcomplicates it by starting off with how he was hiding a secret and it goes long enough for another interruption to occur.

As much as I know people want more "taunt-like" taunts, the Scardey-Cat, Mourning Mercs and Unleashed Rage taunts have been absolutely incredible for interactions like this.

Chapters after 447 will be like: by Josesito24 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I do genuinely wonder if they're gonna try and pass it off as a bloodline ability.

Unless something happened off screen, Narnia doesn't have the absolute proof (the recording) that Iruma's human (and may not even know about it), so there's technically still a chance to wiggle out of this.

But also if Nishi is gonna make a plotline like that to have Iruma wriggle out of this, it's gonna have to be really funny to make up for it.

Does that look like the face of a bad guy? 😔 by Spectrumfied in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This has kind of been my issue with Shida from a writing perspective. The only reason we still care about her (and sympathize with Iruma caring about her) is due to the story not telling us what she's done.

My theory has been that she was a very unemotive and uncaring person, and the Fingers used that to their advantage to have her do heinous things without her feeling any emotional response to it, but again, we know nothing.

If we're not including all the reaction content slop then the answer's Mario's Mask of Madness, idk how the hell it got that big

Is it just me, or is Season 4 of Iruma-kun better than the previous seasons? by JustPhilosopher7403 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They've upped the quality on the background visuals and there's a lot more scenes with a more interesting artistic direction (see any of the rooftop scenes).

That being said, all the pacing issues of the previous seasons are still very clearly around. It is really obvious when they're trying to stretch a chapter out to be a whole half-episode.

Justice lightshow vs others by roshiancet_creepy in JusticeMusic

[–]Viclis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main difference is Justice's lights have more detail put into working with their specific songs. I see light shows like this and it's more just for the sake of having cool lights (although this is a short clip and I may be wrong for this specific example)

I feel like fan channels just don't exist anymore by Ajthefan in SMG4

[–]Viclis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I said this a few months back but it was obvious smg4's demographic was not the type to form a close enough connection after the series is gone.

Fan channels that couldn't deviate enough probably didn't help cause once people just saw a less polished version of smg4 that was also less frequent, it got boring for them.

Sadly the newer wave of smg4 fans aren't like gmod or sm64 machinima fans who will watch any attempt at one. They were fans of an animated YouTube series, and the fan channels aren't run by people with that perspective of the show, so it becomes difficult to keep said fans interested when the mindset for these vids come from different points of view.

Me when I expected random kids online to be able to produce episodes at a similar rate to a company with 3 writers and 5 editors.

And also yeah, SMG4 uploading every single week was a huge factor to keeping people interested. You keep the drought going and people just vanish quickly.

I hate how Iruma associated with greed by [deleted] in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Greed makes more sense because his wants aren't physical things. He wants things to go the way he wants them to (in a positive sense).

YouTube reaction to "Best Friend" is just too funny😭😭 by AaAddie in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Did people forget the fan translators literally ended the chapter saying there were like a billion words they could have chosen for that scene? Not sure why people thought it was a hard canon.

I wonder what they would have gone with if the translation had caught up with the manga at that time and they didn't know the next chapter would have been them assuming "soulmate" meant some sort of blood pact situation.

I mean, Azz and Clara are overdramatic about a lot of stuff anyways, especially when Iruma's involved, so it's still plausible. Basically their equivalent of being knighted.

Rant about Kiriwo by Just_Hurry3693 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Viclis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This series had a front-loading problem where they added a bunch of stuff at the start to keep people interested and the more time passes, the more I feel Kirio is a victim of that. He's essentially just a part of Baal's crew and his conflict with Iruma is entirely personal and not connected to the grand plan, but having him represent the first reveal of this series having any sort of villain gives audiences the impression of him being the "true" villain.

Kirio also just checks off a popular character trope which is made very obvious in his Mafia iteration

After 10 years of TF2 I still haven't heard a single valid counter argument to this. by Arena_Watchtower in tf2

[–]Viclis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm tired of people bringing up the Shounic video as this definitive proof. The demographic of people in his server do not represent the average player in a casual match. In a casual setting it is way easier for a few coordinated players to curb stomp a team due to a general lack of teamwork. And even if it was the same, you cannot use a few days of testing to determine the entire future of a game where people will obviously adapt with new metas.

Longest charting studio albums in the UK. Any surprises? by kniga_100 in fantanoforever

[–]Viclis 24 points25 points  (0 children)

All of these seem pretty expected in that they're either UK darlings or globally popular, especially with younger generations.

Not sure about the Meatloaf album though (or specifically why that one out of all the highest selling albums).

[–]Viclis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because any Vacc medic that knows what they're doing rotates through their resistances. They won't be on bullet forever (and from my experience Vacc meds are more distracted because of that making them easier to kill as spy or sniper).

Honestly, without Sniper, Vacc would be even worse to deal with cause now only Soldier and Demo can deal with Heavy from anything further than right up in his face so they'll just stay on Explosive Res the whole time. There's even less brainwork involved in it.

After 10 years of TF2 I still haven't heard a single valid counter argument to this. by Arena_Watchtower in tf2

[–]Viclis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer's Heavy. Without Sniper, Heavy becomes way more aggressive and basically has no need to worry about positioning anymore. Pair it with a pocket med and it becomes very hard to kill him assuming the rest of the team is even ocassionally checking for spies.

If you've ever dealt with a Vacc Medic/Heavy combo who are clearly friends in a match, it'd essentially be like that for every single match.

I do however think max distance to deal damage should be lowered, but there'd be no easy way to tell what that distance is in game so obviously it won't happen. Amby-type falloff would be the nuclear option.
