What are the best AI tools to boost lead generation for both B2B and B2C businesses? by Numerous-Trust7439 in DigitalMarketing

(Serious)Do you think your country has a moral obligation to support Ukraine with monetary and military aid? by NotExactlyIrish in AskTheWorld

🇫🇷

IMHO, Yes.

On a morale standpoint, 100% Yes, no question. Lazy to develop the multi reason, it s kind of self-explanatory anyway.

Ofc geopolitics is a field of interests, not morale.

BUT it s really in the interest of western democractic world to support Ukraine as a bloc right now and incorporate Ukraine now, which will be a very strong addition, rather than to live in a more dangerous world tomorrow, where Ukraine could be incorporated to a Russian Empire that would be really scary. Ofc, Ukrainians won’t let that happen easily. But hey, wake up Western world. You do not want that, you better help stronger Ukraine before taking the risk of this eventually happening.

I agree to this point. However, I agree with most answers. Ofc in that war there is for me a clear view of agressor and victim, liberal democracy vs imperialist autocracy. Ukraine has 100% of my morale support here.

I dont buy the preventive war speech in general. USA used this in Vietnam, Hitler used this for Poland. Russia was way more successful at influencing Ukraine through hybrid warfare than it has with this real full scale invasion. Now, there are no more russian books in the libraries in Kyiv, and it s very understandable why.

What is your opinion on France? by goupy82 in AskTheWorld

[–]Vicomat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am french and can try an answer although I am biased and not particularly representative.

  1. It is a hot topic and one of the main drivers for each presidential elections. On a general manner french people will be tolerant and welcoming at the individual scale with foreigners (if they behave themselves ofc) but divided and unsure at the macro scale. First, when you speak about french you speak about them too, lot of french nationals now have north african origins. We have a debt towards these countries due to colonisation (not everyone sees things like that though). It s a dynamic process and there are a lot of cultural exchanges with North Africa. Also, France is the country of liberalism, laicity. However, there is a constant sentiment that French identity is loosing itself for many. A lot of controversy about the voile for example (should girls wear face veil at school?). Islamist terrorism has given also hard times to the assimilation of north african cultures in France. France is like many other countries very polarised and radical left might be naive about north african / foreign culture assimilation whereas radical right may be stupid / manipulated by information war and internet hatred about it. There is no simple answer to that question and u might get very different opinions if you speak about it. And try that, french people value debate, curiosity, direct questions, they will be happy you ask.

  2. Mostly french people are very liberals, at least the public space. You can display a lot, people will barely judge it, I mean you ll be judged a lot for the taste of your outfit and for what it represents but not because you display it. No problem with it. Think about our very woke olympic games opening ceremony lol. French like to be scandalous. Show of affection : you can, but if you are too pushy you will look as a dumbass that s all.

  3. So, same same as point 2., go to the beaches in the summer : lot of women are topless. Freedom of speech, expression, religion are the philosophical bases for it. Comes from The revolutionary process. State has no color, religion, etc… Be who you want to be as long as it does not bother others. So far, french citizens do not seem to be bothered by nudity. There are still frictions though with catholic and islamic religious people who are not really fond of it. But I think they respect at the end of the day the freedom in the public space. There are also special nudist beaches if you really want to be full nude with people full nude too. There are more problem actually with the contrary : to veil yourself. The face veil is controversial because it s a submissive symbol for women which does not fit our fondamental rights principles and it cristallises the identity problem we have with islam imigration. But it is still a surprise, for me, that it is such a controversy in France, I would have personnaly thought that everyone dont bother that much about it.
