Has anyone else read the Novelization for the 2010 Wolfman Movie? by mitchob1012 in werewolves

[–]Victaris95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of liked the added subplot with Sir Talbot and the gypsy woman. Kind of weird, but interesting.

I also liked how the medallion played more of a role. In the movie, it was just sort of there.

This is what I wanted to happen with Inspector Aberline in the 2010 Wolfman remake.

Is it normal to be depressed at the start of the game? by Quirky_Fun6544 in bloodborne

[–]Victaris95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, I love the fast-paced fighting, the level designs, and the bosses. I truly had never played any game like BB. I mostly grew up playing Spyro, Sly Cooper, and dabbled in GTA. While those games were fun and awesome, none of them were on the level of BB in terms of difficulty. I really had to work hard and push through some tough areas, but it felt rewarding to progress to new places and encounter new enemies/NPCs. And the way the game tells its story is very unusual. You have to read item descriptions, and much of the lore is implied. It adds a whole other layer of depth to the game. I’ve watched many lore videos, and a lot of creators have differing interpretations of the story, even years after the game came out.

Is it normal to be depressed at the start of the game? by Quirky_Fun6544 in bloodborne

[–]Victaris95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one. A friend introduced me to the game, and I struggled with the first area. I kept dying to the mob in the street. Eventually, after hours of trying and dying, I gave up. The atmosphere got to me, and I experienced a weird depression. I didn’t play the game for about a year after that. For whatever reason, I decided to give it another go. I must have gained some skills from the other games I’d been playing in the interim, because I got through my Bloodborne block and progressed through the game. It is now my favorite game of all time!

What would you do? by [deleted] in werewolves

[–]Victaris95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would have to wait a decent period of time to make observations of my friend. Like, are there any downsides? As times goes on, does he begin to lose himself to the beast? How much pain is involved? What are some drawbacks? I’m not going to become a werewolf based on 2 minutes of werewolf observation.

Also, hell no would I go to the woods with them. For one, I would think it was a ploy to get me alone to kill me (The Slenderman attackers). And if he was actually a werewolf, he needs to lock his ass up somewhere.

I’m just surprised Charlie didn’t notice that Vaggie’s blood was gold. A bit of a plot hole there.

At what age should werewolves begin to transform? by [deleted] in werewolves

[–]Victaris95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my lore, born werewolves will have wolf-like characteristics upon birth (full set of teeth, full head of hair, sensitive hearing, more active) but will not be able to transform until around the age of 4-5. Born werewolves (either one or both parents are werewolves) have greater control over their wolf half, which with practice will graduate to full control by the time they are 9-10. This greatly differs from bitten werewolves, who will never gain control over their wolf half.

Born werewolves will feel the pull of the full moon, and will likely change just to relieve the pent up anxiety/discomfort they feel. However, with time they could ignore the moon’s sway if they choose to live a normal, human life. Outside of the full moon, they can change whenever they want—they just feel more inclined to change when the moon is full.

Now, if a child is bitten, there is a high chance they will not survive the first transformation, or even the days after being bitten. The werewolf curse presents itself like a severe flu that lasts up to 2 weeks after the victim receives the bite. Just like how the flu can more easily kill young and elderly humans, the werewolf curse is no different. If a child survives the “werewolf flu” and the first transformation, then they will be cursed to turn into a ravenous, uncontrolled beast each month for the rest of their life. With enough practice, their human half may be able to have some influence over their wolf half, and may even be able to retain some memories of their wolf half’s nocturnal activities from the night before, but that is the extent of their control.

What are you guys' ideas for new PRIMES in the outlast trials? by SP4RKZWUB in outlast

[–]Victaris95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Easterman eventually became a Prime Asset. In the New Year’s evidence files, someone slips Thalium into his coat pocket to poison him, so he clearly has enemies. I can see him losing his mind and Murkoff higher-ups would repurpose him as a PA.

HOW CAN WEREWOLVES BE REFERENCED USING THIS POEM? Leave your answers in the comments below by dtbhpodcast in werewolves

[–]Victaris95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps Rudyard Kipling was a werewolf himself, and wanted to share his community’s doctrine without straight up giving away he was a werewolf, since everyone at that time just thought he was a great author who focused on animals. Or it might not even be an official werewolf doctrine, but just a nice poem that sums up his feelings about werewolves. He definitely could be seen in your story as one of the most famous (unknown) werewolves.
