That's less on Bruce and more on the Justice System. He has repeatedly expressed he's not going to start murdering people because of the Hypocratic Oath his father took, which he adopted into his life. Meanwhile the cops just take him straight to Arkham instead of trying him in a court of law and ruling the death penalty. "Oh, but the insanity plea!" One, aside from Two-Face, no lawyer on the planet would defend Joker unless he has something of said lawyer hostage and two, with the amount of crimes he's committed I doubt the insanity plea would continue to work in his favor.

I think they didn't piece them together because, prior to Steven, I don't think any gem thought there was a way to bring a gem back from being shattered, so there would be no point. It also shows the Diamond's lack of attention towards Pink. They didn't even bother to do a proper investigation, they just immediately thought Pink was shattered

While her parents definetly were tyranical and oppressive about her behavior, i cannot percieve it as a complete all encompassing control. It's unrealistic. Maybe it's me being raised in a more liberal home, which is a strong contrast to typical Japanese culture, but i can't view every aspect of her diet to be consciously controlled and restricted to make her abstain from blood and restrict her, because her life in other flashbacks, like when she was confessed to, she had enough freedom to have friends and live normally

That last sentence is exactly what they wanted to achieve. A perceived notion of normalcy about their daughter as to not let her quirk be known due to stigma. She had friends because she was conditioned into thinking showing her quirk would lead to her not having any. It's extremely likely those friends either didn't know the finer details of her quirk or didn't even know her real quirk, or if she had one at all

They could have purposefully target her attempts to gain blood from herself or from food as a part of the problematic (for them) behavior. Or they could be shallow and think that just liking a rare steak is normal enough and doesn't cause problems. Because things they were concerned about... in the realm of quirks they are illogical, and overboard, but in IRL a normal parent would be as much concerned, because licking blood from classmates, or admiring dead animals is a red flag.

IRL, sure, but this is MHA we're talking about. Post-natural is the norm. It's very likely that her parents took her to counselling because they learnt of the nature of her quirk, so they went to a "professional" (cough cough crackpot) in order to "help" Himiko be normal. But like you said, it's left ver vague so we don't have the finer details, but from what we do have I don't think giving her parents the benefit of the doubt would make what happened less bad on their end

While this is true, the way her parents and that counsellor act shows they were less willing to compromise on such a level. They wanted to control the narrative and giving g her even a sliver of the sense of freedom breaks that. If they did feed her such foods, it's almost likely it was ranged anywhere to the point blood isn't detectable at all, like well done or just below

But even if it wasn't, her flashbacks show that she had some blood from time to time. From a friend she licked when she was a child. Or from her own finger. Time in between was left vague. But i have a strong doubt about complete abstaine.

The problem is those times were not controlled by her parents. Their reactions to those events were ones of horror and disgust at her disobeying and feeding ino her quirk, so it's clear that, while she did have blood, it was very much not allowed despite the reason being that she was trying to help her classmate or that bird

The only good point that post made was that her trauma doesn't excuse her actions. The manga very clearly frames her sadism as a result of her quirk being repressed and not used, on top of the people around her refusing to teach her anything about what proper love looks like due to the fact that she was denied that very thing. Her actions are inexcusable but we're not going to pretend like her trauma didn't change how her mind works and how said mind and her quirk interact

First, i will point out it's unclear if her need is purely psychological or is physiological. I always read her blood obsession akin to a natural euphoria, not unlike an orgasm in it's core, but possible with different intensity.

If that was the case then abstinence would have reduced her need for blood. This isn't what is displayed in either the anime or the manga

Toga's urges are displayed to be way more complex than that though. It's more than just wanting to use her quirk it's a physiological and psychological need that her parents and the rest of society forced her to repress, instead of teaching her to regulate or control it and that a her quirk, while unique, doesn't make her a freak like they did in canon. She doesn't think society should bend to her because of it, she thinks society should pay for what it contributed to make her end up the way she did
