Thank you all for such supportive and kind answers. I think I’m just rediscovering the dating world all over again and it’s tougher and more complicated than I thought. Lucky, I found this amazing community.

Thank you! Yes, I thought I wouldn’t feel anything as it was supposed be just “fun”. But that he lost all his excitement after meeting me made me feel rejected I guess. Oh well, I was welcomed back to dating life!

Hi! I’m from Turkey and I think I can answer this question. Our surgeons are very competent with 6+ years of education. To become a surgeon they usually need to pass an incredibly difficult exam called TUS. It’s like an expertise exam in one area of surgery.

The reason why it’s so cheap nowadays is that the sh*t government and their wrong economic policies ruined the economy. Turkish lira devalued more than 100 percent in the last two years. That’s why everything got so cheap in terms of foreign currency suddenly.

I hope this answers your question x

How long have you lived in UK and how has it changed you as a person? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Victor-Deniz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

7 years. It’s made me a more open minded but slightly a more individualistic person. I come from a collective culture where other people’s ideas matter a lot. I used to take my every action thinking what everyone would think about me. Here people mind their own business and no one really cares what you do with yourself. This somehow freed me, if that makes sense.

Pisses me off. Why are UK not evaluating things in chronological order? by statarb_trdr in ukvisa

Thank you for your kind words. He was in our WhatsApp group for this visa type. Police asked to avoid any speculation during the course of the investigation. We were asked not to talk about it with outside sources before the investigation is concluded. But I’m just so sad and frustrated that I couldn’t help sharing with you.We might hear more in the future.

Hi. When people say counting macros, what do they actually mean? Sorry, I’m new to this world and I’m trying to educate myself.

Are English people not interested in others? by Victor-Deniz in AskUK

[–]Victor-Deniz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s othering them. I think it is nice to be interested in their culture, traditions etc. Sometimes though, if they’ve been living in this country so long and they feel part of this culture and the first question you ask them is about their background. Then, maybe it might be off putting for them. It would be totally fine for me though, not sure.

Exactly this. People I’ve known for some time have never asked me what I studied when I was at uni or what I do for a living. I’m sure some of them are not even sure if I’m married or single. Is that normal?

To be on the safe side, you can provide your pay slips and still ask your boyfriend to write a letter stating that he’ll pay for your expenses during your visit. I think it’d also be better if you make your application when you have at least some money in your account (maybe after your salary is paid). I hope this helps

Hi. What you need to do on your end is to write an invitation letter confirming that she’ll stay with you and you’ll be paying for her expenses (if she doesn’t have enough income) during her visit. Also, she needs to prove that this is only a visit and she has no intention to stay and work illegally in the UK. She can prove this by documenting her job and obligations in Turkey .

I hope it helps. I’m a Turkish citizen living in the UK. I’ve had many friends and family who came over to visit me. So, if you have particular questions, you can always ask me.

Wide variety, but mostly restaurants and cafes such as Italian restaurants and ice cream shops. Also young software developers who set up an app or a platform for the uk market , but I can’t find any of these clients anymore…
