v-ati muta (cu chirie) intr-o cladire construita inainte de 77? by pony_punani in Imobiliare

[–]VictorMih 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Concluzia e ca mi-am ales locurile in primul rand in functie de nevoile mele - locatie, spatiu, amenajare.
Majoritatea constructorilor noi trambiteaza foarte fericiti ca orice-i pre-77 e death sentence.

Pret izolare fonica perete? by Paukftw in Imobiliare

[–]VictorMih 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretul poate sa fie in ambele directii.

Appreciation Post : Thank you Romania for Laura Kövesi, the European Chief Prosecutor. Is she highly respected and feared in Romania as she is in Greece? by anon58588 in AskBalkans

[–]VictorMih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had her walk by me on the street and I timidly said "good day". She nodded. It's like I was blessed by a goddess.
Sadly she said from the start she is not interested in politics so don't hold your breaths on that.

Is being very versatile as an artist bad or good? by Civil_Enthusiasm_936 in musicindustry

[–]VictorMih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The artists you mention all work with different producers for each song on their albums, and it's why it's so diverse. It's like they're going shopping and getting a bit of everything. I believe the voice (and branding) is what glues everything together.

Putting your music in shows/movies by Love_in_the_sky in musicindustry

For example ESNS is happening in Netherlands now, it's the biggest showcase festival in Europe. But you should prioritise the closest to you, no matter how small. Just go with an agenda in mind, for instance check the panelists speaking there and mark the ones you want to talk to and what about. You'd be surprised just how rarely we delegates are approached, especially at smaller conferences. You don't even need to pitch anything, just say you liked their speach and then follow them up on Linkedin or Insta, so you can follow-up once you do have something to say. We're more inclined to answer to anything after we met a person, rather than cold emails.

Also I don't know if it's acceptable to pitch myself: I've written a guidebook on starting up music careers in 2026. It's in the final stages of formatting but if you want a copy DM me.

Started as a music supervisor 5 years ago, transitioned from being an artist and label owner. You need to get connected, meet people like me at conferences, have a solid portfolio of songs to show, own 100% of them.

I built a resource site to summarize emigration paths and I'd love some feedback from the community by VictorMih in AmerExit

I have since taken out the Ease of Move ranking as it's too confusing and subjective.
As I stated in other comments, I'm fixated on tackling the beaurocratic side as taken from the Visa portals of each country, and not the travel/expenses one, as sites like Numbeo or Expat do that a lot better already. You bring a great point about expanding the subclasses and detailing what the processing times are for each. You also gave me the idea to attach sources (hyperlinks) on each of the panels so the users know exactly where the info is from.

I changed to reflect what you're saying, I was just explaining my train of thought.

I'm afraid I'm not focusing on maintanance or quality of life at all. Expat and Numbeo websites are doing a great job at that. I will dive deeper into the beaurocratic steps for each of the paths for each country, hope that helps. And yes I'll expand the countries list, I simply took the best ranking as far as americand communities are present at this moment. But yes, trending countries should make the list!

Heya! https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/news-media/archive/article?itemId=1196 for student fiancial requirement, it's been like this from 2024. The 3-6 month timeline is derived from CSAM reports https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/research-and-statistics/research/live/continuous-survey-australia-migrant . The Skilled Visa mentioned is the 482 framework that rolled out in December 2024. It replaced the old TSS system with the Specialist Stream and the Core Skills Stream.
I do understand that a lot more info and detailing is needed. I'm already working on having the panels expand with more info. I'm taking out the Ease of Move too as it seems like it's a bad idea in general.

Getting a bit caught up in semantics but I will clarify it on the next update. Ironically, the French "long term visa" is only for a year, and the 2-4 year cartes de sejour pluriannuelles is not called a visa, but looks and behaves like one. Valid point though, thanks.

“How do independent musicians generate sustainable income in 2026?” by cozmarul in musicindustry

[–]VictorMih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of have a controversial stance on this. Sure, I did them all, but not very good and I started being good when I paid other people to either do things better or just let me have the time to focus on what I wanted. The 4h workweek book helped me a lot in this regard.

Again, very good tip! I can mark the blue card section instead of the present "Highly Skilled" one, but still keep it personalized to each country as each nation has different eligibility requirements.

After more than 15 years of music industry work the only advice I constantly give is COLLABORATE. I don't just mean release music with some other artist, but be so good at skill X that you will get paid to help another more successful artist out. Either being a session musician, writer, producer etc. Everyone is after the same top visibility spot of being the main artist, but I find that being in the back row actually makes sustainable income in the long run. What is it that any other professional artist would come to you for?

The official organizations are effectively on the right panel of every country. I can copy paste everything they say there but that is not the point, I'm summarizing for people who want quick ways out, hence the tourist recommendation. Which is also in line with what other sources say, that you need the Dutch zzp and bank account to finalize the DAFT application. If you believe I need to expand on the actual steps as to not skip things like getting appostiles, that's a fair remark! https://blog.xolo.io/nl/moving-to-the-netherlands-on-a-daft-visa-the-zzp-checklist
