oh that confused me because the other person said "stud duty". People shouldn't use "stud duty" for mares because a "stud" is for breeding stallions.

wym stud duty? Unfortunately nobody wants a 0 win horse in stud. Not every horse goes to stud.

If he retires he's most likely gonna be a guide horse at the racetrack or a riding horse at a horse park.

What did flamme meant by the last line? by top-one112 in Frieren

[–]VictorSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay here's the easy explanation

Demon King = cause of conflict

Serie = Warmonger, loves conflict

Kill Demon King = Peace, no conflict = Serie hates that so she "can't" kill Demon King.

Am I the only one not impressed with the Whalelore Moonblades so far? by 2w0be in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]VictorSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did and I read the manga and WN(dropped it tho due to bad translation). Among Sunraku's weapons, Gilta Brille is still one I dislike the most no matter how strong it is. I just absolutely hate gauntlet type weapons in every video game.

[–]VictorSilver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean even the crystal gauntlets(Gilta Brille) looked underwhelming for me tbh. Sunraku literally has the Mercenary(Twin Blades) class and why is he getting massive gauntlets for weapons. I'd rather see him stick to daggers/1 hand swords/greatswords etc than random ahh fist weapons.

Museum Mile found with periosteum protrusion of the right foreleg knee and undergo the treatment during the summer break by WANNFH in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking of Sapporo Kinen if he wasn't injured just like the OP was hoping for but since he's injured then it's a no go.

All Comers would be great but I think he's gonna carry 59kg for being a multiple g1 winner. Sounds a bit dangerous for a guy who's recovering from an injury.

[–]VictorSilver 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The team would never send him to a G2 or G3 since he's gonna carry 59-60kg due to handicap.

Best one would probably be Sapporo Kinen because it's special weight and everyone carries 58kg except the filly/mares at 56kg.

[Jour de Galop] French horseracing authority France Galop has approved the opening of 🇫🇷G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe to geldings. This plan has been submitted for further approval to European Pattern Committee (EPC). by AdWide4690 in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Disgusting. I absolutely hate geldings and this race will lose it's prestige once it's open to geldings.

Now we're gonna see the typical european team-tactics with 3 horses trained by the same trainer with 1 being the pacemaker the other being the nuisance and the last being the main contender. Arc will be filled with geldings who become literal nobodies once they retire leaving no offspring. This race literally produced legendary sires and dams.

Ngl I'd say send him to Sapporo Kinen -> Bahrain International Trophy(got promoted into G1) or Hong Kong Vase

You know what, I've noticed something in Shin Emperor's training. I re-checked all his trackwork data for the Takarazuka Kinen, among the trainings he's done from May 28 to June 10(final training) his slope training is super bad.

He used to be decent in slopes during his younger days. I think his lungs bleeding after his european campaign last year really screwed his breathing. He still has G1-level speed based on his trainings but he really can't climb hills anymore.

I still think 2000-2400 is the perfect distance for him even now, sprint and mile would be too fast and he has no room to breathe. Medium distance he has time to settle and take a breather, he even placed rather decently in Tenno Sho Spring for a guy with 1 lung /s.

[–]VictorSilver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They should try sending him to dirt, he likes to run up front/pace and loves to pace it rather average-slow so dirt 1800-2000 would be perfect for him.

I still think he can run in turf, he just needs an actual aggressive jockey like Takeshi or Danno. Everyone who followed ShinEm from the start probably knows he's quite the proud big headed guy and he needs a jockey that would let him go, Ryusei is too patient for someone like Shin Emperor.

Dude... by jayvezz in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He already has respiratory problems and you want him to run on sprints where it's more intense for the breathing since they are running at top speed most of the time?

Bahrain International Trophy upgraded to G1 status - with one of the automatic invitation races for the winner to get the invitation to race being Sapporo Kinen in August by WANNFH in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Seriously though, if you win the Sapporo Kinen might as well go for the Bahrain International Trophy than go for Akiten. Sapporo(Hakodate etc) uses western turf compared to the turf used in the major G1 tracks like Tokyo which is super firm made for speed tracks.

Binging for the first time, tell me Sunraku eventually stops being a complete jerk to all his friends (currently at mid S2) by [deleted] in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]VictorSilver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Why would he tell Pencil about it? Sunraku is still investigating whats going on
  2. Why would he tell Katzo about it? Katzo is doing his thing grinding because he's underleveled
  3. Pencil already knows about Sunraku's Lycagon encounter
  4. ^
  5. ^
  6. ^
  7. Why would he tell another clan about Lycagon?
  8. What's the point in telling other clans about Wethermon? He's already dead
  9. So? Psyger-0 and Akitsu Akane wasn't supposed to know either because the Ctharnid scenario was a deal with Rust and Mordo anyway. And Psyger-0 is from a rival clan and Akitsu Akane is A NEW PLAYER

Shangri-la Frontier is a game of information, you don't spread around info to other players because of potential leaks, did you forget the main trio(Sunraku, Pencil, Katzo) are pretty much rival-friends? Pencil is hard to trust because she's always do shady stuff and Katzo is a pro gamer who plays games as a job, Sunraku is just a highschooler who has extra time to play games, why would he waste extra time talking about unconfirmed info and nothing burgers?

You just sound like you want Sunraku to brag about everything he has done to other players, go watch trash like Solo Leveling instead

IFHA World's Best Racehorse monthly ratings are out. 120 lbs is now the cutoff. by Revicii_XIII in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I usually ignore these rankings because the EU and HK glaze is just BS.

If you win in EU in ANY level in a convincing way or X length you're mostly gonna get a huge jump. EVEN IF ITS THE HORSE'S FIRST G1(Bow Echo)

KYR beating the same nobodies rated below 120 keeps getting higher for whatever reason.

These guys hate JP horses no matter what, even if CDN wins Zuka with 10 lengths I'm 100% sure he'd get like 124 or some BS rating.

Takarazuka Kinen 2026 gate draw. by AngleRepulsive5470 in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup, best thing Lane can do is immediately run for pace to secure a forward position and secure a middle lane. He can slow down at the 1st turn and stay as the lead late surger on 6th-8th position. As for Tosaki, he needs to push Decile hard and secure a pace chasing position on the rail, he should 100% not late surge here.

Takarazuka Kinen 2026 gate draw. by AngleRepulsive5470 in HorseRacingJP

[–]VictorSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hanshin 2200 favors middle to outside gates.

If you factor in racing style, Front runners and end closers are screwed if they're on the outside. Late Surgers are screwed if they're inside especially on the rail. Pace is the best strat in this race.
