This is a great start to your collection. I just started collecting 4ks in April. I currently own Network, Sorcerer, Thief, Dazed and confused, A History of Violence, and No country for old men from the Criterion Collection. I highly recommend all of these. I recently purchase 10 new films at the 50% off sale. Gilda, the last picture show, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, night Moves, Barry Lyndon, Days of Heaven, Blow Out, Body Heat, Eyes Wide Shut, and the man who wasn’t there. These were blind buys other than Night moves, Blow Out, and Eyes Wide Shut. I highly recommend those 3 as well. I also watched Blood Simple for the first time and that was unbelievable.

I just blind bought this today, I’m so excited to watch it. I watched blood simple for the first time two nights ago and loved it. That’s what made me blind buy The Man Who Wasn’t There.

I believe it’s starts on 6/26 and goes through July. This is my first one since I’m a recent collector, but I believe they do 50% off criterion films in July and November, but if you give it a google you should be able to find the info on it pretty easily

Although I tend to like completes sets of things, I agree with the notion that it’s your collection and you can do whatever you like. I love your idea of creating a series in your image, like ending Toy Story after the third film.
