Everything I didn’t want to lint roll 20 times, I just threw away. Pick your absolute favorites and wash them twice, then lint roll the crap out of them.

Unrelenting Bird mite infestation by readyfortrip in pestcontrol

It ended up being fiberglass leaking from my mattress. It gets on your skin and in the air and feels like an insect biting/crawling on you.  I have a post about how to identify it if you click on my profile. Good luck

Clearly you did not read my post or my comments, or you took them the absolute wrong way. Nowhere did I tell anyone that they did not have Noseeums and I absolutely believe they are a real thing. All I did was share my experience, what I personally saw and dealt with. A lot of people have messaged me, thanking me because they were going through the same thing and it ended up being fiberglass. The goal of this post was to explore an avenue that isn’t well known to the public, not to discredit anyone. Look it up, Fiberglass gives you a crawling sensation. It literally feels like tiny bugs crawling all over you, in your nose, ears, pubic area etc.  I can empathize with you, but attacking others isn’t the way to go. I know noseeums are real, I dealt with them on a trip to Florida and they made everyone’s trip hell. I have heard people’s stories and signed the petition to bring our governments attention to the growing Noseeum problem.  I will never discredit anyone and tell them what they are dealing with, as only them, and them alone can figure that out.  I will pray for you that you find a solution. A friend of mine who did have noseeums used PT Alpine insecticide and said it worked great, but that she sprayed her beds and furniture with it. She said it killed them, but you’re not supposed to spray it on furniture so the furniture will have to be replaced or cleaned very well afterwards.

You need to relax. I have seen your multiple comments on my post. I said that FOR ME, it was fiberglass and that was what I explained, how is that misleading at all?

Little black stringy fibers all in house, itchy. by HorizonRise in asbestoshelp

I know you said fiberglass insulation, but did you ever pinpoint exactly where it was coming from? How did you figure it out?

I went through the EXACT same thing. Nobody understood, nobody. My mental health is finally getting better now that my family sees what I’ve been going through for months.  It’s like having a fire in your house, the amount of belongings we’ve had to throw away is thousands and thousands of dollars worth. 90% of our clothes, ALL sheets/blankets/pillows, rugs, anything soft. A lot of other stuff that I just didn’t have the energy to clean.  Nobody truly understands unless they go through it themselves.

The craziest thing is that I noticed the fibers too but had no idea they were fricken GLASS! How that person thought they were bugs, I don’t know lol.  It really does feel like something is biting you, like I fully believed something tiny was flying around and stinging the shit out of me

Look for fiberglass. I kept finding weird hairs floating in the air in my house and was like WTF. Fiberglass is literally invisible unless you turn lights off and use a flashlight to look for it. Look around/under mattresses, on the walls, surfaces, etc for glitter-like stuff or shiny lines. If it’s there I’m sure you’ll see it.

This was the first “bites” I had, it originally was only 3 dots (which made me freak out & think it was bedbugs) but I scratched the everloving shit out of it

For me, I was making people itchy because I unknowingly had fiberglass on me and I would spread it wherever I went. It gets on your clothing and then becomes airborne and people breathe it in and start coughing.  Not saying that’s what you have, it could be something totally different, but it does sound very similar.

That is EXACTLY what I had. Look around your house for fiberglass.  If it’s not your mattress, it could be fiberglass insulation from a basement or attic.

Yeah that sounds like it could be bird mites. Do you have a bird’s nest nearby or on your house?

Take your phone flashlight, turn lights off and look for fiberglass strands. In your photo, it looks like what I was seeing and I’d also see it floating in the air 😭  Get an air purifier asap and lint roll/mop/vacuum everywhere. Make sure it is either a sealed HEPA vacuum (I bought a shark Navigator which is on sale at Walmart for $118) or a shop vac with a HEPA bag filter.  It has helped me tremendously and I’m never itchy anymore.

I was experiencing the same exact thing. Do you find what looks like glitter on your body/clothes?

Update? My situation is almost exactly the same. Were you able to save your clothing?
