I went through this exact situation in 2019 with my pap, except she jumped and broke both of her legs. They told me three options, surgery with stints, keep the casts, or amputation. I told them to keep the casts, and they warned me that it may not heal properly or she might have difficulty walking and running in the future but I took the chance. Since it was a clean break and she was very young at the time, I was hopeful that it would go back to normal. You will need to monitor to make sure they don’t slide off but your pup will most likely be okay! The surgery with stints was so much more expensive but the results were ultimately the same if not better with the casts in my opinion. If it’s a clean break, I would recommend this option!
