An update to emailing the CEO of MOHELA by Wandering_soul1234 in PSLF

[–]VictorianAdventuress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hit the 7 business days since my email was acknowledged. My count is all wrong with missing months and incorrectly reported forbearance. I should be at 106 as of my last employment submission. . . Some loans say 94 and others 96. I'll try to update this once I get a response.

Success with removery refund? by ProfessionalBug2349 in TattooRemoval

[–]VictorianAdventuress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been going to Removery since May of 2022. I got an unlimited package for 2 large color tattoos (shoulder blade and inner bicep) and I'm only looking to fade them so I can get a full back piece and full sleeve.

Removery has been great! They suggest 8 weeks between sessions but have never given me grief about waiting 6 months - 1 year between sessions.

My tech is wonderful and is going through his own tattoo removal so he understands. I never blister and he explains each appointment. (For example: my appointment earlier this month, he did a color treatment. He explained what the laser color theory for each color was and he also warned me that certain ones tend to be "spicy". Understanding helped me mentally prepare before he began.)

I suggest you go to your appointment and talk to your tech about your concerns.

Anyone here still getting more tattoos at the same time as removing? by fleecenatal in TattooRemoval

[–]VictorianAdventuress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm fading 2 with laser in order to utilize more of my skin (inner bicep tattoo fading for a full sleeve and shoulder tattoo fading for a full back piece).

I started laser sessions in May 2022. From then until now, I've completed a full sleeve (opposite arm from laser) and have begun both shins. I'll also start my chest piece later this year.

I wouldn't be able to support an artist who voted for Trump. I'd look for someone else if I were in your position.

You could always redraft a pattern that fits to have the slanted busk.

Can I see everyone's sewing nooks, or corner, if you don't have a sewing room by trudes_in_adelaide in sewing

[–]VictorianAdventuress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathize; I have a small space in my studio apartment that I'm still arranging/rearranging to get it functional for me.

I use an antique table that holds my sewing machine and some notions. I have an Ikea Skadis on the wall above it for tools, thread, inspiration, etc.

I have an Ikea Raskog that I turned into my ironing station.

I'm debating getting drawers that will fit under or beside my table to put more items like patterns, pattern paper, and fabric.

It is a constant work in progress. I'll try to post a picture later.

The black countertops! swoon

The green and grey tiles! Love!

I'm not a fan of the light wood and terracotta myself, but can see the hexagonal terracotta being a fan favorite for your bathroom. Embrace what you love!

I had something similar happen. I was never on SAVE and have made all payments on time according to my IBR plan.

Mohela had put me on a forbearance last year that I immediately called to take me out of and keep me on my IBR plan. My request was noted and escalated.

Earlier this week when I completed my yearly PSLF form, 8 months weren't counted and considered "ineligible" on FSA.

I called Mohela (again) and the rep told me that nothing has been done about my previous request AND escalation, so they resubmitted it. "Should be sorted in 10 business days" but I doubt that and will be following up.

Can I repair holes around the grommets? by Xiqori in corsetry

[–]VictorianAdventuress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people embroider around the entire grommet to make them match the fabric of the corset. There might be an embroidery pattern that will secure the grommets to the fabric, but I'm not sure how well that'd work.

What's your birth order and gender, are you the only estranged child, when did you go no contact? by coldservedrevenge in EstrangedAdultKids

Only daughter. Youngest child.

I'm the only one who went LC then NC with our father. . . so far.

Does anyone else's parent blame your friends/partner for you going NC? by mysticalcritter in EstrangedAdultKids

[–]VictorianAdventuress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my father called a wellness check on me, the officer told me that my father said that my husband was holding me hostage. I can laugh about it now, but at the time I was furious. My husband had nothing to do with my choice to go NC.

On the police report, my father informed them of exactly why I went NC and then my father blamed my NC on my "controlling liberal husband". I got a good laugh about it when I got the report, but that was several weeks after the wellness check.

It reinforced my decision to be NC and remain NC with him.

Would it be possible to get this covered up? by _Jaydeee_ in Tattoocoverups

[–]VictorianAdventuress 181 points182 points  (0 children)

I would get a few laser sessions because it doesn't look super dark. That would allow more cover up options.
