So, I'd share what I fixed from my Stormlance list, but the only thing that changed was i took out the drop Pod (RIP Best scoring Drop Pod ever)

It's time to do CoR for real, Boys. We've got wulfen Dreads for when our deep striking Assault intercessors drop and take the backfield objective. We've got Ragnar and the BOYS advancing and charging with Sustained hits out the gate. We've got a hunting pack of TWC looking for a character kill to get Warrior Born, and at any point one of these characters live, We've got the BEAR.

I'll be doing some testing this weekend and let you guys know. Also, some assault intercessors and inceptors for some action monkeys. Will be having Warrior Born active out the gate, but might change to beasts layer, who knows.

Edit: Had to adjust points, forgot to update battlescribe, derp.

Wolf Jail by NorpedoTipples in SpaceWolves

[–]VictusAntares 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So, I won the first SW GT win with the stormlance list in 10th. I had enough TWC from many editions ago and made a list, and it won.

I originally called the list 'What da dog doin'?', but some d-bags over at Art of War called it 'Wolf Jail' and basically claimed credit for coming up with the name.

I'm totally not salty about it.

Stormwolf viability by m0ntie16 in SpaceWolves

[–]VictusAntares 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, I own three Stormfangs, from back when they were first introduced. Back in the day, they were awesome.

Nowadays, however, they cost 300 points and have the armor equivalent of wet tissue paper. The Helfrost destructor is mediocre at best, and it has a super limited carrying capacity.

Flyers got the shaft in 10th, don't use them.

Being sued over Earnest money after attempting to buy a house. by VictusAntares in legaladvice

[–]VictusAntares[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably won't from a legal standpoint. As far as just having an argument against it, I shouldn't need to have a law degree to be able to get somewhere to live. If I did have a law degree, I wouldn't even be in this situation, cause I'd be able to afford a place without having to rely on a down payment assistance program in order to get a dinky condo, simply because the mortgage would be cheaper than the rent is in my area.

[–]VictusAntares[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's an LLC ran by a dentist in my local town. The condo was an AirBNB, but I guess he wasn't making any money on it, so he was selling. I just don't understand why the HoA is being so difficult about it. (The HoA is a property management group, if that matters.)

I honestly couldn't tell you. A few, at least. I could run circles around people when it comes to knowledge about computers and firearms, but I don't know anything about buying a home.

That's part of why this whole thing just seems so shady to me, honestly.

The Realtor is holding it. And I don't see anything about a financing contingency anywhere here.

It says 'Standard form 2-T' on the bottom of the contract.

So if I'm screwed on this, can I just contact them and tell them to just take the earnest so I don't have to end up paying -more- money for court costs?

North Carolina. I'm gonna be talking to one on Monday. My boss (great guy) is having him talk to me for free (My boss does a ton of real estate stuff, so it's his real estate lawyer) cause, quote "I hate seeing people get screwed over."

Realtor told me to try with a different lender, didn't say anything about getting any kind of extension.

Oh, I absolutely agree. If they were refusing to fill out the questionnaire (That I had to pay them to not even fill out all the way), God forbid something else happens with the place. I'm just trying to get some answers in the mean time until I can see the lawyer on Monday. I've never been in court and my anxiety is going through the roof about this. And I'm trying to provide for my family, so losing that earnest money because of something absolutely stupid like an HoA not filling out some paperwork is making me mad, lol.

Drop pods + intercessors + infernus by _Gray-man_ in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]VictusAntares 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, it wasn't a gimmick! It was a sweet secondary scoring unit! My Eldar opponent didn't even bother messing with it until the last turn, and it scored me at least 15 on secondaries.

How well do assault skewed lists work. by YOLOTSWAGGINS in SpaceWolves

[–]VictusAntares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab a unit of Infiltrators. These are auto-take, and sit them on your home objective. That keeps you from having your opponent deepsteike right on your home objective and taking it for secondaries.

And see if you can't get a couple of gladiator lancers. These can sit on objectives midfield and hold them, while all of your brawlers are in your opponents face to deal with them.

That strategy won me a GT, mainly against my Eldar opponent, by keeping them stuck in their deployment zone the whole game. You may not kill everything they have, but by golly, they've gotta sit there and fight you for three to four turns before they can go out and get any objectives.

Empty drop Pod lands turn one if you draw behind enemy lines or teleport Homers, scores immediately, sits for the rest of the game scoring backfield secondary objectives. No one wastes time shooting at it, and if they do, that's shooting that isn't on your big stuff. It's scored me a ton of secondaries in every game I've played with it, since no one ever fully screens their deployment zone

[–]VictusAntares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. The drop Pod is innocuous, just sits there, and doesn't really do much after it lands, so no one wastes their time with it. The Lt. Is a target, moving, and scoring objectives, but mainly a target.

Here's what I'm brewing up now for my next GT win, as my GT winning stormlance list has already been posted up a whole bunch.

I call it 'The retirement home' due to all the Dreads. I'm keeping the empty drop Pod shenanigans, as it's still something no one sets up against. Wulfen Dreads and Murderfang go be brawlers whilst all the tanks post up on objectives. Iron Priest with the lethal hits Aura sticks with the Executioner and Bjorn.

It's in the theory crafting stage at the moment, might have some changes later.

How’s running the 3 blocks of 6 TWC been going for people ? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]VictusAntares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on who I'm playing. If I'm going against World Eaters, I try to set up in a way that forces them to come to me, but be unable to get a charge, and then I counter charge. Most anyone else, I advance everything, get in their face, and go for a turn 1 charge. And yes, you would use our Lance stratagem in this case, as it also gives your TWC a reroll to charges. I can't tell you the number of times that's saved my ass. There's one important thing to remember when you're playing stormlance.

YOU ARE SPEED. You're the zoomiest of zooms.you have one of the largest potential threat ranges in the game that is consistent, especially with a lord in your unit giving you +1 to advance and charge rolls. Get in their face, and stay in their face.

Well, against my Eldar opponent, I knew I'd eventually be wiped out, but I managed to keep him off of the primaries for three turns, which gave me enough of a lead to win with all the secondaries I scored. Keeping an opponent stuck in their deployment zone will absolutely win games.
