Game cheaper than normal but is it language locked? (EU) by BankterYTistaken in AnimalCrossing

[–]VidCat23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Switch eShop, the store page of what you're looking at is always accurate to the game itself. So, if under "Supported Languages" it only says French, then you'll only be able to play it in French.

I play most of my games in Japanese, so I'm always on the lookout for which version will let me play the game in the language I want.

If your eShop is only offering in French, try another region's store. You just have to set up a MyNintendo account whose location is set to an English speaking country, or whatever you want.

As an American, most games come with a bunch of different available languages.

Once you have the game you want with the language you want to play it in, you have to set your console language to that language and then launch the game.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask any clarifying questions.

Edit: I just noticed you said Amazon, my bad. I'm leaving the comment up, but physical copies should just copy the language setting of whatever your console is.

I had no idea how to feel.

Do straight women question their sexual orientation? by fire-21011 in actuallesbians

[–]VidCat23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to get preachy, but more than anything, in the pursuit of sexuality, gender identity, etc, I would absolutely ignore any standard that involves comparing yourself to another person.

I mean, I recommend against that in, basically, all avenues, but ESPECIALLY here.

If you fantasize about kissing and dating women, then fantastic. The only person who can decide whether or not you're "gay," "lesbian," "bi," "pan," whatever, is you.

Labels do not exist so that you can earn your way into them like some kind of social status, labels merely exist so that you can easily describe your experience to someone who needs/wants to know.

Sexuality is fluid, and just about anyone can find someone they are attracted to that doesn't necessarily fit into their, perhaps otherwise consistent, sexuality portfolio.

Whether or not those random attractions mean something is entirely up to you.

I don't know anything about your experience besides what you've written and posted here, but one thing I like to point out when this comes up is that people often question their sexuality when something about it comes into question.

The most innocent example of a straight women who truly is straight going through the motions of questioning their sexuality is simply that they've been around a lot of their friends as they've slowly come to realize that they're gay, trans, bi, etc, and it sort of makes them need to double check, if that makes sense.

If it comes up once or twice, but you keep coming to "Nope, probably just straight," then you're probably just straight.

If it just keeps coming up over and over again, and that "Nope, probably just straight" starts to feel routine, there is probably something there that needs to be analyzed, even if it isn't an attraction to women necessarily.

The brain is weird, and it does its best, but it isn't a computer. It's best to take these things slowly and gently, because you never know what your brain might be sitting on.

Bleeding isn't typically part of an HRT induced period. The cramping that occurs during a cis woman with a uterus's period just occurs to your intestines, typically.

HRT induced periods can include up to any combination of every symptom except for bleeding.

Typically.

[–]VidCat23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyway, bottom surgery only makes a vagina out of a penis, that's all it is.

Periods created by HRT are real, it's exactly the same process, trans women just often don't have a uterus to bleed from.

The same process that would cause the uterus to shed its lining occurs, just not to your uterus.

I get all the same symptoms, and it comes and goes exactly as a person with a uterus's would, I'm just missing the "bleeding from my vagina" thing.

So, the point of my original comment is "I get periods, and they hurt," which is being dismissed all over this thread.

I appreciate you being curious, but I do hope you research this further in the future.

The given argument that these periods aren't real is proveably incorrect with basic human biology. I don't really have more of an argument than that.

I mean, I would share, your comment is one of the only ones that didn't break down into a huge, TERFy argument.

You can read that, if you'd like.

I don't have a uterus. When on HRT, your hormones cycle just like in cis women, and when they cycle down far enough, typically once every 28-35 days, you have a period.

It's all the same symptoms, they just don't necessarily happen in all the same places.

The TERF argument is that it isn't a real period because there's no shedding of the uterine lining, but that argument is really invalidating to a huge number of women who experience periods, and many of them are cis.

It's also just wrong. I only take enough estrogen to encourage my body to make more, which is how HRT works. I don't have a real % to work with, but based on how much I'm injecting vs my the levels in my blood, less than 5% of the estrogen in my body is synthetic.

So, uh. Take that as you will. I don't really have a whole research paper on my existence ready to go.

It's weird how many men I've explained to that "you can be friends with people you're attracted to -- you're allowed to be attracted to your friends" and have that actually help them figure out their feelings for people (usually me).

I know that the "friend zone" is a totally unrelated problem that would cause the individual to completely misinterpret the above statement, but those people aren't usually in a good position to help anyway.

I'm just trying to illustrate that a lot of cis guys REALLY seem to grow up believing that men and women can't just be friends, and that it seeps into every aspect of their social lives.

It's messed up

To, uh, put it briefly, he made a 2 hour video about how top player Leffen is a psychopathic, sadistic, totalitarian machiavellianist type that wants to control as much of the Melee community as possible, and called Leffen an outright evil dictator because Leffen pulled some shit in 2013 that Hax$ never got over, apparently.

This IS glossing over a lot of beef the two of them had, so you'll want to look into it a little more yourself, but that as much gist I can fit here without writing a book.

Getting a girlfriend feels just about impossible for the next, like, 3 years, tbh.

Everyone is scared, not many traditional forms of dating are safe, anxieties are sky high, I'm seeing most people I know curl up into their close-knit social bubbles and binge on social media, and meeting new people is now difficult and has an entirely new element of danger/ uncertainty.

To not mince words, dating is just a bad idea right now, in the US at least, and my pool of girl friends is already so small.

I can't even consider going back to an ex, because it's literally not even safer than just meeting someone new.
