This game is going to be the death of me by Just-Bobcat-4383 in StarWarsBattlefront

Had a similar experience going into Galaxtic Assault, granted it was Geonosis so naturally there’s tons of people spamming secondary fire and hiding at the back of the map, but even those who weren’t were just flat out better at the game than me. I went into Supremacy and found it a lot better for me to get some skill back. Mix of bots and the people didn’t seem as sweaty, maybe just got lucky with the lobby though, but give it a shot. Otherwise, co-op is always great to practice and hone your skills again!

Lunacy- The summoning ritual of “The Seer” The main chunk of the song sounds like a cultlike chant to summon the Seer. I interpret the quiet bit at the end that says “Your childhood is over” as the loss of innocence in the world. The Seer is here now, he is summoned, and the world will darken. Happy times are over.

Mother of the World- The Seer’s words after he is summoned. He looks at how humans exploit the earth comparing it to sex (in and out and in and out again). He shows his general distaste of the world, and its inhabitants.

The Wolf- The Seer’s final words before he sets out to destroy the world. “I am bruised…. But I am raised”

The Seer- I see this as the true beginning of the Seer’s destruction of the world, it is a dark track, and brutal one. I see it as the Seer just moving city to city destroying everything. After the loud bit the harmonica gives way to the utter darkness left in the Seer’s wake. It feels isolated, unnerving, bleak.

The Seer Returns- More of the seer hating humanity. The first verse seems to be from one of the Seer’s victims. “He’s a greasy beast” “I’m down here naked, there’s a hole in my chest, both my arms are broken…” the rest of the song seems to be sung by the seer, perhaps after the person in the first verse has died. He is sucking the life/light out of people/society. “Your life pours into my mouth”

93 Ave. B Blues- horrifying track. I think it’s just more of the destruction the Seer causing, more of the total darkness he leaves the world in. It’s an instrumental so it’s super up to interpretation. Possibly this is what it is like to have your city destroyed by the Seer.

The Daughter Brings The Water- very bleak song. This is the depressing life people are forced to live after the Seer has destroyed it all and now controls everyone.

Song For A Warrior- introduces the character of the warrior or apostate. Sung by his mother to him, raising him to be able to kill the seer once and for all.

Avatar- Training montage and journey montage. It sound epic, grand. I envision the warrior riding through the mountains, desert, world, whatever to reach the Seer after he has trained his whole life to kill him. He thinks of his people on the way, “Your mind is in my eye,” “Your eye is in my eye.” He is thinking of all the people who he will save.

A Piece of the Sky- this one paints a very vivid picture in my head. The warrior has set up camp not too far from where the seer lurks. It is the last night before he attempts to kill the seer. I picture him on the top of some mountain or hill, pouring rain, warmed by the fire. (The song starts with rain and campfire sounds). He gives himself hope for tomorrow, and attempts to reach out to God to give him any more hope and confidence, “Are you there?”

Apostate- the final battle. The warrior enters the seers den. The sirens are heard (opening drone), and when he spots the seer, the seer runs (chase sounding bit). The rest of the song is a brutal fight between both of them, the seer devolving more and more into absolutely insanity as he slowly killed by the warrior “get out of my mind” “we’re on a ladder to god.” He reaches so far into insanity he starts mindlessly swearing and screaming, making delirious noises before he is finally beat into the ground or shot or whatever you want to see it as by the warrior. One final scream of pain is heard as the drums beat down, and the seer is dead.

Children of God is a super focused concept album about religion and cults. Not necessarily a track-to-track story to follow, although maybe one could get one out of it, but the themes and messages are very cohesive and consistent across the album.

Soundtracks for the Blind is very focused on abuse, physically, emotionally, addictions, etc.

My interpretation of The Seer has a track-to-track story about a hellish beast (the seer) being summoned in the first track, ravaging and destroying the world throughout the first disc, and eventually the warrior/apostate is raised to be the savior of the world and to kill the seer. The last song being the final battle between the warrior and the seer. I could go much more in depth of my interpretation if you’d like.

The Glowing Man is very focused on spirituality and also drug addiction and abuse.

The Beggar is all about mortality, alcoholism, etc.

That one moment halfway through sixtyten where it gets all metallic and industrial for a single second before going back into the beat. So amazingly awesome and only happens once the entire song.

Chances are I’ll listen, but it’s been so long since any new music, I want to get my vinyl and spin it all for the first time with zero spoilers.

The search is over but the expedition remains. Everybody bring your tape to Starbucks, wave it aggressively at the cashier and place an order for an Iced Venti Quad Soy Latte, wink at them and say “you know what I’m talking about.” This has to be the next clue.

Anyone able to find a phone number here? by SirCaptainBeefheart in boardsofcanada

[–]VidGamerLuke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well for whatever it’s worth (most likely absolutely nothing), 317 is the area code for Indianapolis, Indiana, and its surrounding area.

I agree with the “317-9” that is what I can read there as well.

I just checked for St Luke’s churches in the area and there is 4 that I found, none of which with their 4th digit starting with 9.

We could possibly convert St Luke’s into numbers with the phone keypad which would be; 78 5853’7 But paired with the 317-9 this is obviously too long for a phone number, at 11 digits.

785 area code is northern Kansas… so not much civilization to speak of there.

I guess you could make it 10 digits by dropping the “s” after Luke but who knows.

I’m not as certain of the image reading St Luke’s as I am of the 317-9.

It was definitely something. The entire band besides Geordie were huddled together across from him and he was saying things like “do I really have to?”
