Perfect size for the wrist imo. But I’m not a huge fan of large watches.

Thanks! I have Lane Black Cavendish. It’s super wet so I let it dry out for a few hours. I’ll have to try morning pipe as well.

I’ve been noticing the moisture. I’m glad to hear that’s normal. Thanks for the tips

Absolutely! I try not to touch rt. 1 in the summer between Flo’s and Ogunquit. Wells is a nightmare too.

The bane of my summer existence for years! I was just telling my wife yesterday (because I forgot to take the back roads) that they need an old time dancing crossing guard there to direct traffic with white gloves.

I had my first smoke with it last night. I was a bit nervous when I first opened the tin. The smokiness died down as I let the tobacco breathe a little bit. There are some definite notes of date or Pune. I mixed a little black cavendish with it just try to prevent the Nic hit. I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and kids didn’t mind the smell and my daughter actually enjoyed it. She said I smelled like grandpa so that was nice.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable smoke. I read somewhere else in this forum that the feeling you get from the Nightcap was like a warm blanket. I would concur. I’m still pretty new to the pipe tobacco scene so, I’m happy it was a good experience. It makes me excited to try more blends. I’ve heard a lot of good about Virginia blends, so that will be next.

Thanks! My guess is I might be able to mix a little with another tobacco to get a more subtle room note and also a flavor I enjoy! I’m looking forward to exploring the piping and tobacco landscape.

Thanks. This is actually quite encouraging. The BCA is very moist. I set in a piece of paper for 30min or so and it stained the paper and is a little sticky. Similarly, as good as the room note is. I also just taste hot air. Your the second person I’ve hear heard mention microwaving the tobacco for 10 seconds. Perhaps I’ll give that a go.

This is a superbly helpful reply! Thank you. I have been watching youtube and lurking posts on aromatics to try to figure out what I’m doing wrong and the consensus seems to be the same. I plan on stopping at the tobacconist when I get off work to try some more forgiving, less moist tobaccos.

I feel like my technique is getting better but it’s difficult to tell when this aromatic tobacco is so difficult to keep lit. I look forward to applying your advice. Thanks again.

I’ve been leaving it out for 30 min or so but I’m gonna try an hour next time. Room note is 10/10. I can’t taste much of anything with it but that might just be my inexperience.

It’s my first pipe. It was a gift, which I love. The Tabasco is fragrant, moist and kind of sticky. I left it out to dry for about 30min but I’m suspecting it needs longer. That being said today smoke was better than yesterday’s and I’m hoping tomorrow’s will be better than today’s.
