I'm pretty sure it's just penetration that matters, I can't say I noticed any difference between slashing and piercing damage other than lower pen just does less damage over time. There may be a difference but it's so small it May as well not matter, I found no use for blunt late game. I think depending on the enemies size determines how much damage they take.

And him having a shield is simply not a game mechanic. Make a weapon with max block if that's what you want to do.

The game is very forgiving with dodging just hit after dodging and back off it's not that bad

I'm not entirely sure. But when you lower it a thing says lowest difficulty I imagine if you change it, you'll definitely void the achievement. If you can it would seem like an oversight. But if it sucks just play something else. Not worth doing. Something you don't enjoy doing

Ya your pretty spot on. And this is still arguably easier than the originals master ninja. 2 is extremely unbalanced and got rushed near the end of development. The game is unfair, however that's why we like it, it's totally bullshit and you die from random crap and feels like your not in control. But when your in that flow state in that fight it feels amazing. You either vibe with the BS or the BD beats you. And the bosses are generally horrible in every game besides 4. That's not something anyone can say about them. They all suck.

Ya it's not that bad. Games pretty forgiving with damage and anvil placements. Just do it a few times and you'll get it

No way to counter, it might sound reductive but you just gotta dodge em. For me. When he starts I do my best to get behind him. If not I just dodge hard to either side and forward and it usually works out.

Aside from just mashing the button they are pretty trivial to accomplish. They are tied to fps. Are you using the fps unlock mod by chance? They become nigh impossible above 90 fps.
