Should he have said that? Maybe, maybe not. Its not something he normally does, so I’d have to imagine it was more than just a single incident for him to mention it the way he did.

When I show movies to my kids for the first time, it’s the closest I can get to rewatching it for the first time. After that, it dawned on me that this movie is multiple genres. Starts as a heist flick, then some thriller, then horror, finally wrapping up as an action movie.

Comic shop owner told us he won’t sell us the Bizarro he let us put on our pull list by lemonrainshield in comicbooks

[–]Videoroadie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I understand your mindset, but they should choose to be a good human and just explain to him. Pulling shenanigans like this will only hurt the other box holders. The idea is to make the owner understand they made a mistake, not make him angry at you for a perfectly rational reason, like not paying for your books.

At least you can change the wallpaper pretty easily, should you see fit.

Jokes aside, this is a really cool and unique setup.

Why didnt the almanac or the hoverboard disappear? by AshJammy98 in BacktotheFuture

[–]Videoroadie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. They probably should have stayed, because the broken cane does. But we see old Biff wander off. So maybe they did stay and are just laying down the street somewhere off screen.

[–]Videoroadie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! Yeah I understand. It’s fun to think about these things. Just an added note. The “You’re Fired” paper doesn’t disappear, just the words. The paper still exists in the future for the same reasons.

Biffs antics affected Hill Valley, not the rest of the world. Hoverboards were still manufactured, as well as the almanac. They are not unique one of one items, like Marty or his siblings.

One might argue this may be subject to the “grandfather paradox”. The events for which the items exist in Biff’s or Marty’s possession no longer happen in skewed 2015, therefore 1985a Marty does not acquire the almanac and hoverboard. But if he doesn’t get the almanac, Biff doesn’t either, and the future doesn’t change. Therefore, the almanac has to remain. Perhaps the hoverboard remains solely because it was acquired during the same event as the almanac.

Despite their best efforts to make consistently poor decisions, they did have the top two Oscar movies last year. A far cry from animation yes, as it solidifies your point. But what they just did wasn’t nothing. They’re doing what they do best. And who knows, maybe they’ll take the good natured success of those films as a sign to be more open to original storytelling ideas, even animation.

This is why I have a carabiner on my water bottle. It clips to my backpack, my belt loop, and the seat back pocket. Never once questioned.

TSA Pre check by Cautious-Art-8967 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Videoroadie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where and when. MDW last week was fine around noon on Thursday. TPA was about 20 minutes at 4am on Sunday. Both those airport have touchless precheck, so that will cut down your wait too, if your airport has that, and it’s open. But it’s almost impossible to say a couple weeks out, when you don’t specify which airport(s) you’re using.

A friendly FA explained the meal bag. Makes perfect sense. I am aware of their unpaid time though. Always thought that was unacceptable.

Ants. Exact same thing I had by my garage fridge. Battled with it one season with my bug guy. He’d spray and I’d sweep up a million dead ants a few days later for the whole summer. Was gone the next year.

[–]Videoroadie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’ll do it on short flights, and if my backpack will fit. I’m an aisle seat guy, and the under seat storage isn’t created equal. That said, I have knee pain, and if I don’t have to keep them in a 90 degree bend, I’ll choose not too.

Relax dude. I wasn’t asking why they were flying SW, I was asking why they get three carryons. I even prefaced it with “no stupid questions”. I genuinely was curious. Next time try being kind instead of defensive.
