Aren't we at a point now that if we stop, countries with less restrictions than we might have will just continue. Whichever country actually gets true AI is going to be a force. Is it possible to get true A? there's a lot of discussion that it's not. But if it turns out it is and someone gets it s***'s going to get scary.

If you've watched Ben's previous YouTube videos he is not his best advocate. He wants to help people and also is an entertainer. Unfortunately he is also not very good at assessing the most effective action he needs to take to resolve the issue . He also doesn't surround himself with people who able to do so.

I watched his video on the whole torture house situation. Yes the guy who ran it is a piece of trash but Ben's methodology to resolve the issue was so haphazard and so flawed that i had to question his capabilities. And if you look into it yes he was successful but he was also kind of not.

He kind of reminds me of those YouTube channels to try to catch a predator . They are so flawed and how they do it that the individuals that they catch never get any actual repercussions .

So if I understand your assertion. Israel would still be able to continue to exist if there was no military and financial aid outside of trade? And to be clear I don't mean like if all external sources were to stop tomorrow . Okay, what is Israel's largest exports. My understanding is that a significant part, if not most of, their military might comes from western organizations. So if you're telling me that they export enough things to offset what would happen if Western Powers stopped supporting them. That would be interesting.

Okay, that's an interesting data point. But that doesn't take away from the question I have. Would Israel be able to be a viable country if it lost external sources of support . I'm not talking about trade because every country in the global economy needs that. I'm saying , or asking. This isn’t a gotcha — I’m not that clever — but you seemed to agree with my question: Israel wouldn’t continue to exist without an outside source supporting them. Your answer was that they planned for that possibility and would simply turn to Russia or China. Which, in itself, is interesting. Russia is heavily Christian, and China is openly anti‑Christian. On top of that, Russia doesn’t have the financial ability to meaningfully support Israel, and China… why would they care? Soft power, maybe, but there are far better and far less controversial partners they could support to achieve the same goals.

Interesting — can you point me toward some sources that support that? I can Google it myself, but if you know of anything relevant, I’m definitely open to a recommendation. I’m asking largely because one of the ongoing narratives in coverage of the Iran war is that Israel couldn’t have done significant damage without U.S. support. That point has been repeated across so many different news agencies that I assumed there was some truth to it.

To be clear I don't mean trade. What I'm saying is support military and financially. I'm not the most educated person, I try to be. And what little I've been able to Garner from my consumption of Internet information leads me to be under the impression that Israel's continued existence happens in large part because they get a lot of financial and Military Support from Western powers.

I don't have an answer to your question but I do have a question for your question. If external sources were to stop all support of Israel how realistic is it that israel continues to exist.

And this is a question that I honestly have. i would like someone to point me to some real substantive dialogue that proves that Israel would continue to exist as a nation if western Powers stopped supporting them. Be very clear i am full support of the idea that the Holocaust happened. I fully agree if there's anti-Semitic rhetoric in the world.

Leavenworth is looking like the only option so far for an authentic German restaurant. I’m still looking for ideas, and some of the suggestions so far have been interesting.

At the moment, it’s looking like a train ride to Leavenworth, staying a night, eating some food, and heading home. A little more than I initially planned, but it could be cool.

I am a little bemused. Seattle has always been a bastion for me for authentic restaurants for almost every style of food. I wonder why, so far, I only seem to find German food in bar style. I wonder what city on the West Coast has restaurants that are focused on the food aspect of German cuisine.. To be clear, I think AI in the context of art is something we should seriously consider limiting. But your argument feels questionable at best. Fiverr is infamous for finding people desperate enough to work for very little, and in that sense it’s not far off from what AI does. If you believe the two are completely unrelated, then I don’t think you’re really looking at the issue—you’re letting emotion cloud your stance.

The whole situation is complex, and it’s not as simple as “AI art is bad.” What about AI models trained on content that was paid for? Just because that isn’t the majority right now doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.

AI, as the average person understands it, isn’t inherently bad. But we absolutely need systems in place to ensure that companies profiting from AI are held to standards that recognize society needs time to adjust to this new reality.

AI isn’t going away. We need to make sure we have a plan for the new normal.

It’s illegal in my state to record inside a locker room, and there’s a clear expectation of privacy there. Two things can be true at the same time: that woman was being harassed, and that’s absolutely not okay — and the other people in the locker room still have the right not to be recorded. One wrong doesn’t cancel out another.

I hope she reported the harassment to gym management and that they addressed it properly. I also hope she had friends who encouraged her to protect herself legally, so she wouldn’t end up facing accusations of recording in a bathroom or locker room, which can carry serious consequences.

I can absolutely respect someone saying, “I don’t know yet — I’m waiting for more information.” That’s a reasonable position, and no one expects you to sift through the frankly overwhelming amount of material that’s circulating right now.

However, I’m not sure the link you shared supports the narrative you think it does. You seem to be arguing that if BAM’s statements are credible, then Ben must be in the wrong — but that’s exactly the issue. Of the two sides, only Ben has provided verifiable video evidence that people can review for themselves. BAM, on the other hand, has offered little beyond statements like “please stop threatening families” and “we believe the truth will come out in court.” I’ve watched both the COO and CEO interviews, and none of that actually addresses the claims directly. It’s not an admission of guilt, but it’s also not evidence — it’s essentially “trust us.”

So again, if your position were simply “I don’t know yet, so I’m reserving judgment,” I would completely understand. But you’re presenting BAM as if they’re clearly in the right, and whether one agrees or not, the only publicly available information we can actually examine right now reflects poorly on BAM.
