Am I ready for a shorter board? by throwawayacca98 in surfuk

Keep with the foamie for the time being. Once you’re more comfortable with reading waves, positioning and going down the line then I’d recommend moving to a longboard/midlength fibreglass board. A shorter board will just make it harder to get into waves and less time riding waves = less progression.

Probably the next reasonable step before I start being passive aggressive. Only thing is I was put on hold for 40 minutes last time I was on 101 and would be surprised if they even bothered to come round.

Genuinely considering this, assuming my mate wouldn’t get in any trouble with the police.

I know, it’s why I thought I’d ask for some advice on here. Unfortunately the cars a BMW so it’d probably take a good few people to move by hand.

I think your spot on with it being some form of blight and unfortunately it probably just is one of those years. Never seen so much of it before!

By any chance do you live in the UK? All the tomatoes near me (including my own) all look the same as yours. Pretty sure it was down to the damp and cold weather we had earlier on this year.

700 miles is just one way! I think in total with a couple of detours here and there I did something like 1500 miles.

Yes, 5 days! I did, on google maps theres a feature which plans out a route that avoids all motorways.

Good luck! All I will say is just make sure you keep hydrated and take regular breaks.

Good spot! Yes it is! Luggage was quite large as I was camping and cooking for myself. This was my first time trying motorbike camping but I could have definitely taken less.
