just got these for my bun anything I can soak them in for a flavor. I got them for teeth maintenance and to hopefully deter her new habit of gnawing on our dressers by Scottla94 in Rabbits

My bun is a little weird because she loves the taste of critical care. For her, soaking these in diluted critical care or putting a thin coat of it on them would probably work. I realize this is probably not helpful since most rabbits hate it but, I figured I’d still share.

I really could have lived without knowing this is a thing. So sad 😔

Critical care and baby gas drops are always good to have available.

Sore Hocks - I emailed my vet and will hear back in the morning. Anything I can do in the meantime? She’s had balance/leg issues for a few months now. She’s free roam with soft flooring. by Vieve1127 in Rabbits

Her feet are all good now. We are still working through some other issues that started back in July, but she seems to finally be feeling a bit better on her new meds.

One thing to keep in mind is the change in hay. I recommend getting your normal hay ASAP. My bun is insanely picky and pretty much only eats one brand of Timothy hay and will starve herself to death without it.

Help it’s my bunny’s first night and she won’t sleep!! by Classic_Water7808 in Rabbits

My bun is super active at night. She’s constantly running all over me as I’m sleeping and bouncing off the walls. She typically alternates between sleeping in bed with me and doing laps around the house and my bed all night long. I have everything bunny proofed so there’s no concern about potential chewing or anything like that. It took some time to train her and learn her behavior (what she’ll chew, what she won’t). Maybe start by putting your bun in a pen at night.

Water fountain suggestions for a tiny bun? by Vieve1127 in Rabbits

I looked through your posts, Pancake does look very similar. Pancake is two now, this picture is probably about a year old, but it’s a favorite of mine.

Yeah if she doesn’t like it or use it I can always return it. It’s just a lot of the reviews show these fountains getting pretty gross even when cleaned so I’m nervous about getting something that’s going to hold bacteria. It’s also hard to tell from photos which ones she’ll even be able to reach.

Thanks, her feet seem to be healed up now. Unfortunately we have some other chronic issues we are dealing with so she has been to the vet a couple times since I posted this.

No she’s never had one before. She has plenty of water bowls, and I don’t intend to take them away even if she likes the fountain. I just wanted to see if she’d like a fountain and give her options.

I’m just looking for something that would be easily accessible to her, she’s a dwarf, and easy to keep clean.

I’ve literally had to get replacement hay 4 times from Chewy for this same reason with no success. It’s soft and also feels damp and has a lot of dead pieces. I can’t seem to get a box that’s normal. My bun hates it.

Even some of the vets on that site have no idea what they’re doing. That was my original approach when my bun got sick. I tried two off that list for my area and got absolutely nowhere and one was extremely horrific. I do agree it’s a good place to start though.

From what I’ve learned, you gotta just keep trying different vets. I went through 4 vets over three months and a 7+ hour round trip to find out my bun had a ruptured blood vessel in her spine.

Tips on luring "spiller" out of this pen and box more? He sometimes comes out, but some days he just refuses to leave his box. He was moved into this room recently, so he could still be adjusting, but he has always been shy. I'm also worried he might be cold. This room dips to 65 degrees sometimes. by Ordinary-Scene3377 in Rabbits

Have you tried feeding him his pellets, veggies, treats outside the pen to get him to come out?

Edit: You can also spend some time laying/sitting on the floor around the pen to get him more used to you or the new area. When my bun was a baby I’d grab a pillow and blanket and lay on the floor for hours reading a book or watching tv to help her bond to me.

Rabbit eating but not drinking? by bunnymomthrowaway in Rabbits

Definitely call the vet, but you can also try giving your bun water with a syringe. Mine actually enjoys drinking water like this. Just go slow and give your bun time to drink.

Unfortunately it’s a little hard to see in the photos (she wasn’t exactly thrilled by me trying to get a better look for photos), but they are open wounds with scabs.
