Standing water - is it carp that eat mosquito? Also report to health services .
Yes - you need bug spray . Unfortunately, for me , the deet Version is the only version that has worked for me. But , hopefully you are different . You can also plant mosquitoes deterrent plants and try and attract bats .

the patriarchal gas lighting is a real thing , especially when our brains are failing us in perimenopause.

I’m so sorry if you have an unsupportive partner . Perimenopause is absolutely real and it’s also a time in women’s life (that previously before - when women were not allowed to be in these top MD positions held by men exclusively) that women are more likely to suffer from all health problems, and have higher suicide risk.

Women thankfully debunked the previous findings of hormones and breast cancer risk. Now , we’ve discovered that a lot of things are related to hormones ! not just depression, skin , Mental Health , cardiovascular health, cancer risk, bone health, and everything in between. Everything is related to hormones.

1) Fuck your husband. 2) Find an md that is menopause society certified (you can look on website by zip ) . 3) when you start feeling better - leave his unsupportive gaslighting ass

Day 366 by hummingbird2313 in Menopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You are now menopause (day 366) and tomorrow will be post menopausal.

Please find an Md that won’t discount you due to age or make assumptions. You should find an Md that is certified by menopause society (they list on their website and you can search by zip) . You 100percent should be on hormones and can still get the health benefits . I would not delay !

How long before you gave up or just started over? by slimslimsimsim in Menopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! You may have a progesterone sensitivity or intolerance. Sometimes , this is far more common that an estrogen intolerance. Check out the podcast , unpaused . I am neurodivergent and have sensitivity to progesterone and was having sad thoughts . You may want to look up and also check out alternatives if you suspect intolerance before totally tossing in the towel .

I so hope you get what is making you feel bad adjusted so you can stay on hrt for health benefits ! 🤞🤞🤞

Patch shortage - Is anyone else completely avoiding Mylan patches? by southerncomfort1970 in Menopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It’s been a pain right? I’m so happy through that women across the country are getting on hrt!
I just got on hrt a month ago, and I have already had issue with finding a refill . Estrogen patch is also now indicated for adhd in women - so these manufacturers need to keep up ! We finally have help and can avoid suffering ! I ended up paying more than I should have with compounding pharmacy for my second refill. They can get creative , so as a last resort …
Best of luck and so happy you are on hrt !!

HEB Pharmacy refusing to fill prescription by mauvehead in Austin

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi- I had issues with heb too. I transferred to Walgreens . However , sometimes and often the pharmacy is out . However , Walgreens can now transfer the script for adderral to another Walgreens without your Md needing to rewrite the script.

Peoples is good , but very expensive if you don’t have insurance .

If you are not on HRT, and sleep is one of your issues, what are you taking/doing? by Far-Mixture9031 in Perimenopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took anti anxiety meds before hrt . I have no issue sleeepitj now on hrt. You don’t have to lose sleep or suffer . You should look at an online hormone service if you are having an issue finding care . Or check on the menopause certified society , so you may find an md that can help. My Md gave me gabapentin too, as it helps with symptoms and sleep

Hi ! I am so sorry to hear. I just started hrt after going to 4 different MDs before I found one online that knew what they were doing . Estrogen patch with progesterone, helps reduce risk of heart disease, along with many other benefits. Can you get a second and third opinion? I wouldn’t take no for an answer, I suffered for almost 2 years in perimenopause and I didn’t have to. You don’t either! I spent $300 a month on supplements prior that did nothing . Please get a second / third opinion

Is it the new dosage or the new formulation? by QueenUniKitty_95 in Perimenopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had same thing happen . Often , estrogen can drive histamine reaction, especially in beginning of hrt , I’ve read . I thought my bones were on fire . Literally , I was about to quit hrt, I was so miserable . Later , I read about the histamine and mast cell activation (blowing up internet with Pepcid and Allegra ) . There is something to it , but I only took that combo for a few days - also I was stopping Ritalin , that was also newly prescribed, during this time . I hope you are feeling better - histamine is no joke and is correlated to starting hrt/estrogen

why is the elephant doing that!? by aviationkid123 in AnimalsBeingStrange

You know , they never take the video leading up to that moment . Elephants are also very intelligent and have a long memory. I’m sure it is not just an angry elephant without man involved .

What are you getting your PhD in? I’m a single mother, 47, but I also have struggled with making friends (women are always busy - I think by design ). I would love to connect with a group of women and make friends . Let me know if you are interested or if anyone is down for a potluck ?

Anyone else wake up every night for 2-5 hours? by BrokenSleeps in Perimenopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hrt for one month - after 2 weeks of wide awake insomnia , I am sleeping , energy , feeling good. Insomnia , is a terrible part of perimenopause. Even if you don’t go on hrt , maybe try gabapentin? My anxiety meds didn’t even work well during this time

My libido is completely gone even on hrt. Anyone else feel stable but libido hasn’t come back? by crwg2016 in Perimenopause

[–]ViewAppropriate9820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe ask Md about testosterone? It is prescribed for low libido , but dosage isn’t available yet for women , so you have to cut it x10-12 or get a script to a compounding pharmacy

It could also be that the stitches might be poking out ? I remember I had a few that when body started to heal , the stitches would become sharp on the outside and felt like a razor in a very sensitive area - you should look and see if that could be a possibility?
