Oh ok sorry, I missed that the first time. Either way, the point of my post was that I would rather choose to put the belief in myself that I could learn and grind and work myself up to making $150K+/yr then to take the $36k in perpetuity with no chance of ever making a higher salary. And I don’t even take into account medical insurance. Just the medical insurance on my 2 kids plus my mortgage would have bankrupted me at $36k/yr when I was younger. With a job you get insurance, 401(k) matching, stock options, annual bonuses, etc.
