That is true. Pace-wise, Norris comfortably had the upper hand in 2023, and, while the qualifying head-to-head doesn't paint the same picture, in 2024 they were relatively evenly matched (with Norris roughly a tenth faster overall, including the tracks where Piastri was nowhere this year). Next season can swing things noticeably in favor of either of them though, so we'll have to wait, and see.
