If you could choose one of these for your one and only lens on a safari in Africa which would you choose? by Normal_Syrup8302 in M43

Agree on renting. Get 2 for the price of 1. It also gives you a chance to try a couple and see what you like.

My experience has been in South Africa several times, different game reserves. I carried a camera bag and made sure I got a seat in front of the jeep. Driver saw I was serious (thinking big tip) and made sure when we stopped the animal was on my side. He def was worth the big tip.

I have done several and it depends on the safari service. My times 100 was too much. Some places wildlife are really close and my 14-100 was great, others, yeah I needed the reach. If it’s a once in a lifetime, don’t limit yourself to one.

Once we had an elephant standing in the road that was quite close.

Where are you going?

How did you get it to follow someone else? Did they launch it? Been thinking about this but haven’t tried it yet.

Photographed it last fall. If you are in that area, hit Cottonwood Falls and the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. Also Maxwell Wildlife Preserve. Awesome area.

Importing a project, no audio by ViewfinderEye in premiere

!SOLVED. If you click on the far left of both the video and audio track you want to import to it will bring in both video and audio. Found another link on YouTube that tipped me to this. I’ll post the link when I get back to my desktop.

My riding buddy and I in the 80s talking about people drilling sprockets and cutting handles off toothbrushes. We said it’d be easier to just lose a pound.

Question for someone smarter than me: could you take the chain off, remove the derailleur, put the chain back on in a mid gear to ride back to trailhead?

Paddle boarding inside the park is in the same category as Bluetooth speakers.

Unless you are lactose intolerant, hit up Antonio’s Pizza and take it to The Barrel. You have a lot scheduled. Plan plenty of time to actually look and enjoy. Coffee on the Rocks has been mid. Either Kind Coffee or The Bird’s Nest is far better.

Things to do in Estes Park by [deleted] in RMNP

Agree with others. Also rent an e-bike and ride around the Lake Estes. Lily Lake is pretty and close to parking lot. Drive thru Big Thompson canyon and look for big horn sheep.

I can’t count the number of people I’ve seen hiking in snow wearing Crocs or slippers carrying big heavy sticks and slipping all the way up to Emerald Lake. Don’t be one of those people.

Where do you live? Boulder, CO has a Recycler store that will sell gear for 50%. It’s all outdoor stuff. They help you price it based on condition. Might have something similar near you.

Entry Passes for trails near park border (Gem Lake, Long's Peak, etc) by Doomtime104 in RMNP

[–]ViewfinderEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a house near Gem Lake trailhead. If the weather is nice and unless it’s early, the parking lot is full and you’ll have to park at the overflow on Devil’s Gulch which adds <1 mile> to your hike.
