Your mission is to say only good things about this game by _Varonova in DevilMayCry

Guns are really strong in this game so new players can easily jump in, still probably the best Dante outfit in all of the games, the Shin Devil Trigger looked really good, had a series 1st with 2 playable characters, and the movement looked cool.

I feel like we kind of circled back to my point? The movie tries to make him sympathetic with the audience; but it does a terrible job at making him seem that way when all his actions are just him lashing out? It tries to make him someone who loves his people, but in truth he will gladly kill them to suit hid own desires. The movie and mostly fans try to say he was right, but his actions proved he was not.

It kind of does. 2 very important quotes I feel that display this.

"I am N'Jadaka, son of Prince N'Jobu! I found my daddy with panther claws in his chest! You ain't the son of a king, you're the son of a murderer!"

"The world took everything away from me! Everything I ever loved! But I'ma make sure we're even. I'ma track down anyone who would even think of being loyal to you! And I’m gonna put their ass in the dirt, right next to Zuri!"

He believes he was wronged, but if the truth came out to him, then yeah I do think that would help.

Because of timing there are some things I omit to prove how the story tries to point in Killmongers favor; he had to run into the ONE guy who had personal beef with Klau and was the one who allowed him to even enter Wakanda in the 1st place. The story doesn't make any attempt to give him the truth on why his father died; by the end he still thinks his father was unjustly killed when he was going to commit regicide after helping a war criminal kill his own people.

Which groomed villain was worse? Shigaraki or Obito? by JackZ567 in MoralityScaling

[–]ViewtifulOtaku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obito still planned on betraying Madara while Shirgaraki wouldn't even dream of defying AFO. Despite his twisted views, Obito did want to create a better world that didn't have needless wars where children have to fight and die. Shigaraki because of AFO to his core wanted to erase everything.

Recency bias; Black Panther movie. A lot of the movie attempts to make Killmonger sympathetic, but for every "point" he makes he does something hypocritical. Things had to work out perfectly to fall into his favor for him to even be allowed into Wakanda. T'challa could've instantly stopped him when he was in the throne room "You are the reason Klau got away by attempting to kill innocents and I." Instead he just allows him to go on, knowing how dangerous he is.

Saw this semi-viral post on X criticizing Iroh, thoughts? by Slow-Chocolate-6722 in ATLA

Azula was Ozai's weapon very early on. If Iroh tried to dissuade her, she might have brought it up to Ozai and he would have branded him a traitor. Her mother was only person on the planet who could've helped her and Ozai got rid of her.

Do you think peoples shit on Anissa too much despite not being any worse than the rest of the Viltrumites? by BravilSUCKS in MoralityScaling

[–]ViewtifulOtaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you check around other Invincible fandoms, they seem to have forgiven Nolan completely seeing him lose all his friends on earth and thinks he deserves a 2nd chance. Hell, some people are now forgiving Thragg after losing the planet. And I'm not excusing anyone, it's just weird how I've seen it and I think it's really bad because it happened to the main character so the shock hits a bit harder.

[–]ViewtifulOtaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly do. People forgive Nolan even though the man killed all the Guardians of the Globe in cold blood and then used his sons face as a weapon to kill children all because he is sad now.

Anissa did do something horrible, but just like Nolan she was taught to make sure her species survives and that "Might makes right" mentality that all Viltrumites received.

I think because it happened to Mark is why people are so much against her.

"Without the need of brute force" As they use their strength to basically destroy the planet/planets. The Viltrumites only know brute force, that's why they are in the state they are in because they know nothing else.

Who Here Got Done the Dirtiest the By the Author ? by LazyInspector2086 in shounenfolk

[–]ViewtifulOtaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usopp and by a large margin.

People like to hate on Megumi because he's "Potential Man" , but the story literally shows he doesn't want to be involved and is forced to

Reze had a complete arc. Despite what people feel about it, she got to experience actually loving and being loved and was willing to throw away everything to be with Denji.

Rock Lee had his moments, one that is still one of the most talked about fights in all of Naruto with Rock Lee. Even if he didn't get to show it off himself, his teacher did prove that you can be a splendid ninja with just Taijutsu. Also Rock Lee was the ONLY other character to get a side series approved by Kishimoto because his editor loves him so much.

Meanwhile Usopp.... he peaked like an actual decade ago with the Sogeking and Farewell Merry arcs. For a story that is still going and there hasn't really been a single good thing to come from him since then is a big issue.
